Excellent Vet!!!
The staff here is very attentive and always very helpful in person or when you call. They call your pet by name as if you were in the dr's office and talking to your child. They are also very accomodating and their day care service is wonderful and inexpensive.

Prairie Dog is now DEAD
We took our 5 year old Prairie Dog to this place because no one would see him in Tampa. He told us to stop his current diet and start a new one. Well, we did this and he is dead. We had another Vet look at him and he said that he was starved to death. And that the grass only diet did not supply him with what he needed to live.

Very Caring Animal Hospital
This animal hospital truly cares about their patients. The Veterinarians here are wonderful. Dr. Helmer is an experienced exotics specialist and Dr. Armani treats the patients as if they were his own. My animals are actually excited to go to their pet resort! I have never had any problems with my pets health care here. Highly recommended!!!

Good experience!
I took my dog here for the 1st time and was very impressed. I called and they had an appt. within the hour. Everyone was very friendly and Dr. Armani was very pleasant and spoke in terms that I understood. No hidden cost's either!!!! They gave me a treatment plan before anything was done on paper so I would know exactly what I would be paying when I left there. I will most certainly go back there.

Prescription Price Matching Does Not Match Up
I have been taking my dog to this vet for years and have only had problems with one of their Doctors and have since switched to a more reliable Doctor within the Practice. Unfortunately, they have fought with me over the online prescription price of the medicine Atopica which is the only thing that works on my dog. The price, of course, is outrageous having them wanting $76 for a 2-week prescription. I said I will get it online for $46.99 and they asked if they could price match it so I agreed. Since then, they have been going back and forth with me for months now about the cost wanting more money for the same prescription. They use such excuses like You now have to pay shipping so we have to charge you shipping. The latest event happened one 10/13/08 when I came in to pick it up and they said the price has gone up to $57.99 since they are now online and they charge that price. They also said that they checked the website where I get my $46.99 price quote from (entirelypets.com) and

Saying Goodbye
My husband and I had to say goodbye to our sweet little dog a few weeks ago and were extremely impressed with the staff at North Bay. They were kind and compassionate and we will be forever grateful for the level of care that she received in her final hours. I would highly recommend Dr. Armani and the staff.

Over Priced
Very nice staff and clean office but every time I left I felt taken advantage of. They always try to push me into spending thousands on tests and work that wasn't necessary. They gave me an estimate for a dental cleaning and 1 tooth removal for between $550 and $1200 and wouldn't be able to tell me how much it was going to be until it was all done. I just think that is very unreasonable. I understand a difference of $100 or $200 but $650!?!

I agree with Cynthia W concerning North Bay AH pushing unnecessary examinations, treatments and meds for my animals (as every vet clinic seems to do). The only way I could get them to back off was to let them know that I have a very limited income - something I would rather not have revealed.Worldwide > United States > Tampa, FL > Veterinarians
