Absoloutly the best
This supermarket has everything you need to prepare that special latin dish. I am from Puerto Rico but when I went there and I saw the different vegetables from my country I couldn't tell their names and this nice employee came to my rescue and introduced me to each and everyone of them. Very nice customer service. They also have prepare food and they have some alcapurrias real good too. Prices a little high but is worth it.

Wether your straight from the "the island", transplant from NY or just love Puerto Rican/Latin food...
It's one of the most unlikely places you might find such authentic latin food(mainly Puerto Rican recipes). I walked into Las America's about 4-5 years ago. I don't quite remember how or why I ended up there but you can find it on the corner of 17-92 and 434 in Longwood in the Save A Lot plaza (there's a pool hall and a bedding store a couples doors down to the left). Maybe a friend suggested it. Maybe my girlfriend(at the time) noticed it being puerto rican herself. Either way I have spent a lot of time around latin folks in my 21 years living in florida and fell in love with the food. There is a little hot-case just to the left as you walk in the door to Las Americas Grocery & Deli. You can find MY favorites (Pernil, Alcapurria, Pasteles, Arroz Con Gandules, Yuca, Platanos) and various other authentic almost cafeteria style dishes served throughout lunch and the midday pretty much everyday. For 5-6 bucks you will leave happy and probably have to loosen that belt a bit. It's nothing at all fancy but when you eat the food you will not think twice about flash and pizazz. By the way, if YOU are the cook and are in need of all those wonderful spices(recaito, sofrito, adobo, cilantro, ajo, olive oil, etc.) that makes your music sing with flavor then Las Americas can accomodate your needs. You may purchase fresh Cuban Bread(pan) on a daily basis here and maybe see some familiar faces doing the same. It is not uncommon for patrons to engage in conversation near the hot-case or in front of the store talking with friends and fellow shoppers. This is a family type atmosphere and you can feel it when you walk through the door. Stop in for a look. You might be surprised what you find.Worldwide > United States > Casselberry, FL > Grocery
