I was very very disappointed with this school. But, we must have known that a pre-school that has an immediate opening for 2 children (one toddler and one in pre-K) - must be too good to be true! Although my daughter loved her pre-K teacher (Miss Jo), that was about the only good thing about the facility. The school administration was constantly complaining, sending patronizing notes to the parents every week, parents should do this, parents do that, and emphasizing the consequences of non-compliance. My 2-year old son was in the toddler class. It all started in the 2nd week already when I received a call at noon from the director complaining that the teacher had to blow my son's nose for the second time that day. Even worse - the school managed to loose his sheets and blanket, so when we picked him up, unannounced, early one day, we saw him napping under a dirty old blanket. Nobody bothered to even tell us that he did not have his things. To top that off, when I questioned the teacher

La Marina Preschool is NOT WOTH IT!
We had to pull our child out because he was constantly getting sick. We found the cleanliness to be an issue and there was a lack of 'warmth' for the children exhibited by both the teacher and afternoon caregivers (always texting, reading magazines, etc...). Our doctor was appalled that they had the diaper pale just at the entrance of the room giving off foul odors all day long.

La Marina Preschool is AMAZING!
I would like to comment on mmcoy101/Concerned P.'s review. I have 2 children who attended La Marina, with 1 currently in the after school program and I am in complete shock with the reviews. I absolutely love this school and have no idea what this mmcoy101/concerned p. is talking about. The facility has an amazing housekeeper who is constantly cleaning and disinfecting non-stop, and the teachers are over the top amazing. I think this mmcoy101/Concerned P. had other issues.. maybe bitter about having to actually follow policies and PAY tuition that is due!

My child started La Marina Preschool with the amazing Ms. Lynda (2 yr old teacher) and now is graduating from Pre-K. How time flies! It's been an amazing 4 years. My daughter has learned and grown so much through the years at La Marina. The staff there is so loving and you feel like your at home when you walk through the doors. We can't wait until summer day camp, and then off to extended care with La Marina we go!

Avoid...
I was very disgusted to see children in full diapers, the changing table exposed at the entrance of the room with dirty diapers over flowing, and every kid with dark green snot running down their nose.
