Great wiener schnitzel!!
I'm not sure wiener schnitzel is French, but this stuff is great. Also had the filet mignon which was outstanding. Service is outstanding. We went early and didn't need a reservation, but the restaurant filled up quickly and reservations are probably a good idea.

La Cote Basque
I have been to La Cote Basque several times and over the course of a couple of years I am sorry to say that they are NOT a typical French Restaurant. No, Wiener Shnitzel is not French, It is German (also served in Austria). But La Cote Basque has always claimed to be continental/European cuisine, now only French. The food is good, but a bit heavy for today's lighter eating mind set. I have also noticed that the menu hasn't changed in years. Time for an update. And please, get rid of the plastic grapes! My mother's best friend used to have them on her coffee table and I am sorry to say that my urge to squish them was still alive and well after 30 years!Worldwide > United States > St. Petersburg, FL > French Restaurants
