Fresh and authentic!
They is a great fresh Mexican place! The food is authentic and delicious. It is a Mom and Pop restaurant which was established at least ten years ago. A great find!Pretty Good Caribbean Food
La Bamba is a reliably good little restaurant. It's not the best Cuban food in town, but it's good for what it is. Unfortunately, they do make a lot of the food ahead of time -- I tried to order a Cuban sandwich without mayo, but they couldn't do it because they were all pre-made. However, for those people whose only experience with Latin American food is Mexican fare will be happy to know they do serve guacamole (a distinctly non-Cuban side). So, yeah go ahead and dip your tostones (fried bananas in guac).Delicious Oven-Roasted Pork (neighborhood secret!)
I discovered this great little restaurant about two years ago driving down Glen Oaks Blvd in my neighborhood, and I am now a weekly devotee. I fell for the delicious oven roasted shredded pork (served in burritos, tacos, huge tostadas, and as a platter) and have only recently broken away to explore different things on the menu such as the Panama Shrimp, Camarones al Ajillo, and tacos with carne asada and chicken, never to be disappointed.La Bamba
This place is a gem and I hope that the new owner does well with it he is a very nice guy, along with his staff they are all very pleasant. The food is delicious, and big portions for being a great price. I kid you not when I say that the Mahi Mahi tacos are the best I have had in the LA area and I have tried a lot of fish tacos in this city, nothing has compared! I highly recommend this place, the only thing is it can get a little hot during the day but I just went buy it and they have misters now so its awesome not to mention they play Island/Rasta music and have a TV on the counter if your a soccer fan, no liquor yet but I think they are working on that. The New Owner Ruined it!!!!
I am sad to say La Bamba is not the great place I once knew. I went for lunch with my Husband and 2 year old Daughter this week. The waitress was pleasant and the atmosphere is nice with the patio seating and mysters but....the food was HORRIBLE! I ordered the 3 taco combo and the meat inside was COLD on all 3 tacos and tasted as if it was going BAD! The only thing that had been heated was the tortillas! My husband's Cubian sandwich was basicly ham lunchmeat and bread.......blah!Worldwide > United States > Burbank, CA > Restaurants
