Kroger is a large store, offers self-checkout and an organic section
This particular Kroger's location offers an organic section. While many of the organic food items carry high price tags, Kroger is to be applauded for offering organic produce. Organic offerings include: tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, red bell peppers (extremely expensive!), apples, oranges, lettuce mix, spinnach, dates, celery, etc. Kroger also offers specialty items such as rice milk, organic free-range eggs, nut butters (i.e. almond butter), gluten-free pasta, and hormone-free milk. Kroger offers self-checkout for those who are in a hurry and the store is open 24 hrs. Also offers a pharmacy (pharmacy is not open 24 hrs, though).

OK place to shop
Usually I like Kroger grocery stores -- this one just isn't one of my favorites. I really think it all comes down to the lighting --- just not bright enough in that store. I want brightly lit aisles...

Store is clean and very large.Cashiers are not very friendly. Often some of the ladies do not even speak at all or even make eye contact with customer.I do like the discounted flowers, breads, fruits and vegetables that are put out about once a week.Once I found a dozen roses for 50 cents! They were still very nice.

Best prices, but you do sacrifice some things - overall, quite worth it
You won't get the fancy extras or fawning service of say, an upscale Harris Teeter or a Fresh Market. BUT, I save $50 every week and it is definitely worth it. They have sales on the items I use most and they offer excellent quality generics. Their generic canned vegetables, sodas, nuts, crackers, cheese, and cereal far exceed generics from "pricier" stores like Lowes or HT and sometimes I prefer them to the national brand.Worldwide > United States > Raleigh, NC > Pharmacies and Drugstores
