I go there for pot-bing-soo
Pot-bing-soo is a bowl of crushed ice and plenty of yummy toppings: jellies, beans, rice cake and fruits.

Great for Dessert
Koryodang has great desserts for an affordable price, though the drinks and specialties (like shaved ice) are more expensive. The shaved ice (pot-bing-soo) is excellent, and is topped with fruit and ice cream. The green tea milk shake tasted especially refreshing after walking around on a humid day. The atmosphere is modern, very clean, and spacious. It's a great place to hang out with friends.

KoryoDUNG must hate people
Basically, the children that work at KoryoDung act like it's a lounge, when it's clearly just an extremely over-priced, snobby bakery. Here is our experience: We walked in and the maitre d said there was a 10-minute wait to be seated. Isn't it a little weird to have a maitre d at a bakery? So we looked at some of the breads while waiting. The maitre d then told us to clear out of the way and put us in the corner by the emergency stairwell. If we're patrons, who are we clearing out for? Other patrons? I guess not all patrons are equal. Finally we got seated, and ordered a big slushy for $8.99. The waitress laughed at us and said no, no, no, that's not how we do it here. You have to order one item PER person. We told her we'd look for more items, and she left. Then the maitre d came a few minutes later to take our order again. This time we ordered one item per person, just like they commanded. But we were still wrong, because now she informed us of the following rule: the Beverage department is separate from the Baking department. Therefore, orders consisting of a baked item do NOT fulfill the requirement of a minimum of ONE order per person. Each person must order at least one drink in addition to any baked items. So we left, and that didn't bother them at all. Children at KoryoDUNG: Don't be rude. Remember the rule of business that everyone else knows: the customer comes first, not the Constitution of KoryoDung. And if you're going to have minimum drink requirements like the lounge that you aren't, why not just say up front that you want all our money? Why would I pay so much for your overpriced foodstuff? For your service? You don't have that. For your ripped up chairs? Or to spend time with all the teeny-boppers and boy groupies?Worldwide > United States > New York, NY > Bakeries
