Not worth the gas money
I am from Lansing, used to travel to here hamtramck as a child quite often, and we always got meat at kopytko. This past time when i entered the establishment the people were not very friendly and welcoming. I got 1lb of smoked kielbasa. This has got to be some of the worst polish sausage I have ever had the misfortune of eating. Instead of the nice burgundy color that most meat has, this was very pale. It had an awkward kind of smell, almost a stench, that filled my fridge and kitchen when I was trying to cut into it. The skin just fell off, it wasn't tightly wrapped as most sausage is. I got the end piece of the meat, so I don't know how long it had been sitting out, but it seemed rotten to me. At the very end where the meat is tied off it was filled with a fluid. I decided to give the meat a try before ruling that it had to be returned. When I put the meat in my mouth it did not have the usual moisture and consistency of a smoked sausage.
