Unsatisfactory!
We were very disappointed. We have dined with Ko Palace many times over the last 10 years. We went to the restaurant 1/10/09 and the service was poor, the food was OK (nothing to rave about) and the checkout with the OWNER was completely inappropriate and disappointing. He was harsh, grumpy, and quite unpleasant and shoved the receipt and money toward my husband. My husband and I were polite and we both thanked the waiter and the owner but there was NO response from the owner--not even a smile or an acknowledgment. We realize everyone has a bad day from time to time but the behavior we witnessed is NOT Great Customer Service. We will not return.Best Chinese food we've found so far
We've live in ABQ for over 2 years now and the lack of quality chinese food (and the fact that NO ONE delivers) has been disappointing. I'm not quite sure why it took so long to go to Ko Palace, we only live a mile away, but now that we've been there we will certainly be back. We went for lunch and the place was pretty busy. The decor was very nice, traditional Chinese artwork, etc. Dimly lit in a good way. We both ordered the lunch special combo's. Mine was with Lo Mein and my wife got Kung Pao Chicken, they came with your choice of Sweet & Sour Soup (spicy!) or Egg Drop, an Egg Roll, Fried Rice and a large Fried Won-ton. Though the waiter wasn't the friendliest, he was very attentive, refilling our water glasses whenever they were low. My one complaint was when I asked for some crispy noodles to put in our soup he said that it would be an extra charge, which to me seems unheard of in a Chinese restaurant. Anyhow, the food came and everything was quite tasty, nothing was too greasy or anything. The eggroll was nothing to write home about but other than that we were very happy with our meal. Our bill came and it was only $11 and some change for the two of us. Cant beat that! We will definitely be back for dinner sometime soonMy Favorite for 8 Years Now
The food is great and the service is consistently above the bar. I recommend for anyone who wants to have a decent, filling meal at an affordable price. The lunch menu is priced for any budget and the atmosphere is good for meetings or family meals. I've moved to the West Side, but when I'm back in my old neighborhood I get combination fried rice (no pork with bean sprouts added) and it's just the right amount.Worldwide > United States > Albuquerque, NM > Chinese Restaurants
