Everyone is so nice! The owners were absolutely lovely and make a sincere effort to make every diner feel welcome and cared for. They make you feel like a part of the family. My glass never went empty and the servers are very attentive. The food is divine. It's just so, so, yummy. Pad Thai and King Reccommends w/ chicken are my absolute favorites. Lettuce wraps are great too. They even have sushi and a low carb menu! Can you believe it? This is my new favorite place!!

GREAT FOOD!!

Khun Noi is the best Thai food in Katy!! I like the fact that when I am craving Thai that I dont have to drive into town to eat it. I love the Phad Thai (my fav is with shrimp)

Totally LOVE this restaurant

My husband and I love this restaurant so much that we go every Friday for Lettuce Wraps. We call it Lettuce Wrap Fridays. We LOVE their Pad Thai Chicken. ALL of the food is soooooo fresh tasting, AND NO MSG! They have 2 sections 1 where it is more like a cafe and the other side is more of a family setting. Great place to have a date!

An amazing experience

We're the 3 Malaysians who dine at your wonderful restaurant almost everyday!
We're going back home to Malaysia in a few days, and would like to really thank you
for the hospitality and amazing food. I particularly love the Green Curry, Pad Thai and the Fried Rice

We just loved the food, the ambience, and the friendly crew at Khun Noi. The meals
are filled with flavour, the setting is perfect to unwind from a tiring day at work, and
the smiles on your faces is priceless.
We wish you all the best, and contact me if you ever drop by Malaysia!

I HAVE BIG DOUBTS

There are simple rules to dining city search, and that is not mixing polar opposites. I would never ever get sashimi at a Thai place and I would never get pad thai at a Japanese place. There really is no doubt in my mind that readers should not go their for both foods. I happen to be half Japanese and half Thai. Spring rolls is a vietnamese dish. Just keep in mind city search, would go for burgers at a mexican restaurant? Get back to me when that happens.

Sushi Sundays!!

Hi! This is John B and Sara... we go there all the time... I can have my peanut sauce tofu and mi fiance can have sushi... it is perfect. we're there almost every sunday to eat sushi... We even have a roll named after us! We've actually started calling them sushi sundays... This place is amazing, we loooove it.

Worst Thai Food I have ever tasted

This is the worst thai food I have tasted in the Houston area. I ordered the duck entree and it tasted like salted dried chinese duck reinstated and put back into a dish as fresh. Thai house in Berkeley, Ca makes a 1000x better duck dish. We also ordered Khun Noi Chicken and it was cheap ground up chicken. I WILL NEVER go back there again and am surprised people go there at all. It smelled dirty in the restuarant as well. I didn't even eat my dish and ended up eating the rice. It's hard to screw up rice so they managed to do that correctly. VERY dissastified.

Bravo Khun Noi!!!

To start this review I must say that I am very picky when it comes to dining and very hard to please. A friend and I stopped into Khun Noi Thai Cafe for lunch last week, and I have to say I was very impressed. As soon as we entered this wonderful gem we were greeted with warm hospitality and treated like family. This family owned restaurant knows what they are doing when it comes to Thai cuisine, but they do not stop there. Their Peppercorn Tuna Sushi is the best I have ever had!!! I will definitely return to this wonderful restaurant because there are so many more dishes I just have to try. Thanks Khun Noi for a fabulous dining experience!!!

Best Thai I have found anywhere.

Pad Thai is amazing. I order it extra spicy and with the beef. My wife likes it with the chicken (not extra hot).

This was the 2nd Thai restaurant I ever tried and it was better than the first. Now, every Thai restaurant I eat at other than this one disappoints me regardless of location.

We also like to get the rolls either soft or crunchy.

Best Sushi in Houston

Khun Noi is the best Thai food in all of Houston. I live by the Galleria and drive some twenty miles out to Katy to eat at this resturant once a month. The sushi is the best in the city and the Thai dishes are authentic and can not be beat by any commerical Thai establishment. I highly suggest Khun Noi for lunch or dinner. The family service you will get while dinning here is worth any drive!!

Bad Sushi, poor presentation & atmosphere

First, I read reviews but am not a review writer. I am doing so because I felt so strongly that it warranted a review, especially based on the other reviews that made me actually try this place.

My daughter & I ate sushi here the other night and the sushi, wine and service were way under par. First impression - fix and clean the carpet, or at least remove it - atmosphere sets the stage for experience. Next, I requested a glass of Zinfandel red, of which tasted like it had been open for a month. I even questioned IF it was a Zin with the non-speaking waitress (of which she nodded & mumbled something). I requested different glass - a Cabernet - but still was charged for the other. The Cab was served warmer than room temp. The Sashimi had absolutely no flavor - NONE. And I'm not sure about the orange dull sheen on it either. This may be okay, I've just never had tuna with an orange sheen and I've eaten plenty. The sushi rolls, again, were absolutely flavorless with the exception of being able to taste the spiciness. They were cut too thick, the rice was more like a padded mush and very thick, and was obvious everything was cut with a serrated knife - even the avocados! Poor to no presentation, which is part of the pleasure of sushi eating. Now - the Edamame was served hot, salted and tasty.

Atmosphere - not a first-date place, flea-market deco, carpet nasty - lighting, excellent.
Service - pleasant, however, please always have someone who can clearly talk back to a customer and who can tell when someone is not having a pleasurable experience.
Sushi - very poor.

I've noticed that many of the reviews talk about the Thai factor here. We did not eat the Thai selections & that may have been where I misunderstood this for being a fantastic restaurant. Thai maybe, sushi, not at all. We ended taking half the dinner home & tossing it on the way home. I felt like I had $50 stolen from me after I left. Not a good feeling!

great food!

Wonderful. We just had carryout from this restaurant...It's so good! I'm pretty picky and was shocked, by this small eatery. We had the Ruby Curry and the Pad Thai. Yummy. We are new to Katy and plan on frequenting this establishment. Well done Khun Noi!

The restaurant is clean and nice, but a bit small. The staff was very friendly and made me feel like family.
