Incredible Service and Food
Quite possibly the best French Dip sandwich I have ever tasted! Evertything I have ever tried here is always so delicious and fresh tasting! Plus, the waitstaff is very attentiuve, outgoing, and eclectic all at the same time. Finally making a comeback!
It's been a couple years since I've been and I just had to give it another shot. I was sooo glad i did! They have made so many improvements in the past 2 years. I really got the sense that they are making strong efforts to make the...Worst Service Ever
Just came back from Katz. Could not help writing this incident. The best Reuben EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Went yesterday for lunch, had never been. Ordered a reuben and wow!!! All I can say is wow!!!! I felt like I was back home, a little kid again! It was soooo good! I even met the owner, great guy, great guy. Came up to our table and...Did someone say pastrami?
I love this place! Pastrami is so good, I gotta go back every day! I hear the corned beef is excellent too, I can't seem to not order the pastrami though! And the rye bread is so delicious! Great place, lots of fun and great service! ...Great place!
My husband and I went for brunch yesterday, yummy!!!! They have $1 glasses of champagne until 2pm, wow! What a great deal! I had a couple and my husband had a Holy Mary, never heard of it, but it was yummy too! We had eggs florentine,...A family tradition
My family and I have been coming here for years, multiple times a year and for Christmas. We always have great service and great food. I'm sad to hear the recent news but I know they can weather this storm, they've stuck around through...I'm from NYC....
I grew up in New York city and I'll tell you this, you're not EVER going to find the type of deli that New York city has to offer anywhere except for NYC. It's not possible to duplicate what they have there. When I first went to Katz's I...Yuck
I don;t see how this Katz is a "top choice" for anyone who has eaten here. The service is so bad you really wonder how they stay open and then food (when you finally get it) is just mediocre.Terrible
I have eaten at Katz all over the place yet this is a huge disappointment! Ok food and terrible service make a terrible experience. Not good!
I had been wanting to eat here for about 2 years because I'm from Ohio and I love deli sandwiches but I never find myself downtown at lunch time. Today was the day though, I was finally downtown and ready to eat. I was by myself so I...Wonderful experience!
I love Katz's! The fried pickles are amazing! And their Reuben is the VERY BEST!!! I love that you can walk in on any day and may catch a glimpse, get a wink or get a hug from THE Mark Katz!FOOD POISONING!!! STAY AWAY!!
I went there fir a late night dinner Saturday. The food is way to over priced for how poor the quality of food was. I could barely eat half of my food cause it was so terrible. And best thing of all was the FOOD POISONING I got from...Very pricey!
This is a fun place to eat, especially after all the other restaurants close. The food is great and the fried pickles are famously delicious. I'd recommend stopping by at least once while in Austin. However, the prices are outrageous so I make it a rare visit.Great food
I love Katz's!! The pickles and homemade potato chips are a great start to the meal. My favorite is the french dip, but my husband loves the reuben. A little pricey and parking can be a pain - but worth it!Kinda Scary
Wow! This place is crazy! It's a big hang out for the after bar hopping crowd. Therefore, the clientele is somewhat rough. We had an encounter, the minute we arrived, with a racist who yelled slurs at one of our Asian friends. Then the waitress spilled a drink on one of our party. I almost got slapped by some drunk girl for asking her if anyone was using the empty chair at her table. Oh, and the food is not very good.A true New York deli in the heart of Austin Texas
A true New York deli in the heart of Austin Texas. Wonderful ruben sandwiches with russian dressing. Try the famous crispy fried dill pickles. Located on Austin's hip 6th street!Wonderful experience!

I went there fir a late night dinner Saturday. The food is way to over priced for how poor the quality of food was. I could barely eat half of my food cause it was so terrible. And best thing of all was the FOOD POISONING I got from eating what little food I did eat. I do not recommend this place to anyone.Worldwide > United States > Austin, TX > American Restaurants
