The new owners are extremely service oriented and knowledgeable. I went in with my son to get a Judo uniform. The owner said that I could buy one, but if my son was just beginning, he could sell me a much less expensive karate gi for the time being. He actually convinced me to spend less because he thought he was benefiting me. He was very attentive and professional. The next day, the sensei told me that my son needed a judo gi, heavier than karate gi. I went back the next day and encountered the wife of the man that helped me the day before. She worked for Grand Master Kang for years before they bought it, and is very knowledgeable. She exchanged my son's gi for a very nice judo gi without hesitation, in a gracious and knowledgeable manner. Their prices are excellent. I was not familiar with pricing, but now that Ive seen other prices, I realize what a good deal I got.
Good prices for Martial Arts Clothing & Supplies
When I visited Kang's, there was a fair variety of martial arts supplies. Things like kicking and punching equipment, pads, staffs, sticks, belts, and so on. I believe half of the store was for clothing. I came to buy martial arts pants. Typically martial arts material is expensive. But there was some good deals at Kang's. My martial arts pants were around $18.00. Definitely recommended. Master Kang also teaches lessons right there next door.Kang's Martial Arts Supplies
As a white belt in Taekwondo, I needed to purchase gear. After searching the yellow pages and making many calls, I came across Kang's Martial Arts Supply. Not only did he have everything I needed as far as uniform and pads, he was very helpful in finding the most comfortable gear for me (I am 200+lbs.).Grandmaster Kang is Great!!!
I went to Grandmaster Kang's because I needed a new GI and an Escrima case and also because my previous experience with another store was less than pleasant. He was very welcoming and got me everything I needed. He even showed me his pictures when he was still teaching the arts. He's retired now from teaching. Only drawback is he only takes cash. I will definitely be going to him for my gear!!!! Thank you, Grandmaster Kang!!!Kang is the Man
I had been looking for martial arts shoes for my 6-yearold daughter, but I became frustrated at the unpredictability and unreliability of information. I went to Kang after calling his store several times and his phone just kept ringing. He had what I needed. He is one interesting man; very pleasant and personable. He is recently retired from teaching. He was bodyguard to Gen. Chiang Kai-shek, Mao Tse Dong’s nemesis and founder of modern day Taiwan. He was also Tae kwan do instructor to Chiang’s men. In the end, he gave my daughter a free mouth guard and case.5-stars, definitely!
...He is definitely a 5-star plus!!Great Experience at the Kang's Martial Arts Supplies is
I really had a great experience with this store!God Bless Grandmaster Kang
I have visited Grandmaster Kang's Martial Arts Supply a number of times throughout the last 20 years. He has a fantastic store with great prices. Each visit to his store has been pleasant. He has a great selection and I look forward to my next opportunity to visit the kind soul that is Grandmaster Kang. God Bless Grandmaster Kang!Great products and great prices
Fantastic, this is the only store where I could find a gi that actually fits me (long enough to cover my ankles and not huge at the waist like all the others I had tried). Master Kang was awfully helpful, understood exactly what I needed and even gave me a new mouthguard for my kick boxing training! His prices are great, and the products have a very good quality. It was so relieving to find a store like this, I definitely recommend it!Kang has lost his mind
Master Kang might have been good back in the day but now unfortunately he is just delusional now days and extremely rude. My wife bought a gi from him for my son, first of all my son was not allowed to try the gi on second she couldn't even touch it, but we went ahead and bought it anyway because the reviews here were good. When we came home the gi ripped the first time we tried it on, when we looked closer at it we saw the material was rotten i have never seen rotten clothes before. My wife took it back and he said she was not allowed to replace the gi, my wife got upset and master kang wanted to fight her, he said im strong you strong i can beat you down and started kicking at her, she left the store and came home very upset. The whole gi would just tear all over from being so old and deteriorated. Also when my wife was in the store another guy came in to buy a gi, my wife spoke to him and kang told both of them to get out of his store because he thought they were talking aboutWorldwide > United States > San Diego, CA > Martial Arts
