This Doctor and his associates are unprofessional
I switched over from a PPO to HMO and I chose Dan Kalshan as my primary doc. I called twice to make an appointment to see him and I still have not heard back from them at all. It is ok to maybe forget once but twice? Do not chose this guy as a primary doctor because you will not get a call back.

Great Doctor, that's why he's so busy
I just had to counter the one other rating. I have been seeing Dr. Kalshan for at least 3 years now and because of needing to adjust various medications, I have seen him at least a couple dozen times in tha period. He is unfailingly warm, interested, listens, is open to wholistic care, and will explain things. As far as I can tell his medical skills are more than adequate, but that's hard for a layperson to really judge. It is harder and harder to get an appointment as he's getting busier and busier; I suppose people are recommending him to their friends. I just called and got an appointment and he has a new assistant. She's probably very good, I just miss Tameesha, whom I had gotten to know a bit. As for calling back, since I've been seeing him Kalshan has usually only had one assistant and she absolutely didn't have time to call back, though she did call with reminders. To each his own, but I like Kalshan.

Dr. Kalshan is Wonderful
Dr. Kalshan is a terrific doctor. I have nothing but high marks for his abilities as a doctor. He is on top of the latest information in his profession, he has the ability to explain it in a most understandable way, and he also makes sure I have all the tests and exams that he needs to make informed judgments. I really trust that I am receiving excellent and timely medical care with him. And, he is a genuinely nice man.
