I know the old owners, they split up and are under new ownership. Its usually pretty good. Sometimes we have a fun person cooking and sometimes we dont, that sucks sometimes bc you pay so much, then you get a crappy chef whos no fun1

Very good
We have always had good food here. The wait times can be long because they try to fill an entire table at once. Once your kids are past the baby age, it's lots of fun for them as well.

Not the best experience we have ever had
My wife and I are new to the area and tried this restauraunt the other evening. Her sushi was server too warm and the dish that I ordered, steak and scallops, was just average. In addition, the wait staff was quite inexperienced and the chef was not very engaging. We are still looking for a decent sushi bar in the Lake Norman area.

Good place and entertaining
We took our kids to Kabuto for the first time and they thought the cook was really amazing because his tricks were cool, especially, when he tossed the shrimp around and threw the tails in his hat, pocket and even at the other customers.
