I guess I'll be the first to say it...

I've always been a skeptic about getting my hair cut anywhere as I've seemed to have nothing but bad experiences in the past few years, either with terrible and unprofessional barbers/stylists or generic salons that seemingly hire people for the sake of having staff/"stylists". Going to Joule Salon was unlike any hair cutting experience I've had. The staff were all courteous, kind and caring, especially one in particular: Caitlin. She is the only person I will ever go see to get my haircut again. Ever. She's from out of state (Manhattan) and has been a stylist for many years, and from what I've heard she has been the stylist of many famous people. But that's not the reason why you should visit her; Caitlin really knows what she is doing behind a pair of scissors and has vision beyond any other stylist I've ever gone to visit. If you want your hair done right, you absolutely MUST visit her! You will not regret it!

Great Hair Salon

I have been getting my hair cut and highlighted by Lisa for almost four years now and have been consistently happy with her work. I have recommended the joule to many of my friends and they too have remained faithful clients, thrilled with their results! You too can experience their detailed yet sophisticated style. joule salon, I highly recommend them!

Fabulous Salon in Cary !!!

I am visiting the Raleigh area from San Francisco for the Holiday to spend time with my in-laws and happened to stubble on this Salon Joule .As soon as I entered I was greeted with warmth and professionalism .I felt comfortable right away .I had to come back later in the afternoon for them to fit me in,when I returned Lisa gave me a consultation on my specific hair needs and what my goal was with the cut...I knew I was in good hands and was I right my hair looks and feels amazing !!!I My sister in law and her friends are now booking with Joule they where sooo impressed.....especially since I am soooo picky ; )

SUPERLATIVE EXPERIENCE IN CARY!!!

I have been a customer of LIsa Rivoli's for several years and I must say she has been a changing force in how I feel about my outward apperance. She has consistently taken the time to consult with me about my hair color and style, as well as my personal well being. The Salon offers a warm, friendly environment from the wonderful Ann, at the reception station, to each of the hair care professionals. I look forward to each of my appointments and visits with all the women at Joule. I thank them all for their professionalism and good work!

great salon

I came here recently to get my hair cut and colored and I could not have had a better experience. The receptionist was helpful immediately, offering me a beverage and helped me with my gown. My stylist, Nicky, was very sweet and paid careful attention when I told her what I was looking for. She really could not have done a better job; I absolutely love both my hair cut and my color and will definitely be coming here from now on!

Very classy salon

I have been getting my hair done here for over 6 months and find this place to be the warmest Hair Salon I have been too.

I was born and raised in Apex and love the girls there especially the receptionist. I have recommended my friends here and they seem to be very pleased with everything.
My sister had her hair done by Nicky. She was not pleased with her carmer. She has moved from state to state and tried to sell her products from other stores. She called her last week and said she was not working there anymore. She was asking for my # and anyone else she knows.
Nicky has no integrity. She is unreliable and is very sneaky. Be careful if she surfaces.
The Salon will go on to be very successful.
I strongly recommend this place.

Perfect remedy for depression

You know those days where you are depressed and nothing makes you feel better? Your hair is a mess and you feel like crying, and all the chocolate in the house is gone... Well Lisa fixes that. It is funny how a new cut and color changes the way you look at the world.

Lisa Rivoli has been doing my hair for quite a while now and I love what she can do. She is an ARTIST. My thin hair curls up on the right side and curls down on the left. Don't even get me started on the humidity factor. When she finishes a cut it is truly a work of art. I love how my hair looks and feels.

Lisa is the only person who has ever been able to tame my weird hair. I used to try to tell her how I wanted my hair cut, but after a good cry on a bad day I told Lisa to do whatever she wanted. She said, "Are you sure?" I told her to cut it as short, dye it any color she thought best and go for it. I told her to just do her magic.

It was the best I have ever looked. The color she chose is closer to what I was as a teenager. I am a natural blonde. My old stylist told me to dye it dark to cover the new gray hair. I kept doing that for years until Lisa fixed that mistake. I look so much younger and my friend said the color makes my eyes sparkle. My hair is short and in style.

My husband has seen his fair share of really bad hair cuts from other stylists. After going to Lisa has told me I can spend whatever I want - she is cheaper than therapy :)

Now whenever I go to the salon, I look at Lisa and say, "Do your magic." Nothing more is needed. She can look at the shape of your face, skin coloring and works her magic.

Lisa can be called many things, stylist, beautician, therapist and friend. She is great.

Utterly Amazing Salon!!!

I was recommended by a close friend and long time customer to Joule Salon and I have never took such great advice! As we all know, our hair is our babies, no one can touch it except the best - well these people are the stylists at Joule Salon. I have only ever had Lisa and Caitlin but I do know that everyone walks out that salon glowing! Lisa is an extreme perfectionist about hair meaning there is no rushing around and fitting multiple customers in while another is under the drier...not at Joule! The atmosphere is amazing here, whether it is telling your own life stories, hearing the stylists, or gossiping about who has the better meatball recipe - Joule is the place to be. It feels as if we are in a scene from Steele Magnolias :)

Visionary with Hair

When I went in for my appointment, my hair was in dire need of style and a good cut. When I sat in Lisa's chair, I could see that her mind was already working on what would look best on me and how she could fix my mess. It's like she knew just by looking at my face, what would look right on me. She is a true visionary and I love that in a hair stylist. I also like that my sylist washed my hair. I love that I can walk in and say "do whatever you think will look best" and can trust that I will feel fabulous when I walk out. What more can you ask for?

WHO DO THEY THINK THEY ARE?

I took my son here to get a haircut...the woman Kelly did a great job and they charged me $15.00 - I was HAPPY...the nex time I returned I got the same woman and she sounded a little irritated and responded "I can squeeze him in quickly" this said with no other customers there? I said great and she cut his hair - poor job not at all consistent with his first haircut and then charged me $23.00! I despise people that run a business like this and will never go back again!

Best Recommendation I Ever Received

The best recommendation I ever received from a friend was to call Lisa Rivoli for my hair. I have been going to Lisa for 7+ years. Even when I moved to Wilmington for four years, I drove back for my hair appointments with Lisa. I refused to look for anyone in Wilmington. Lisa even came to Wilmington to style my hair for my wedding.

I can not say enough good things about Lisa and Joule Salon. I knew I found my hair stylist the first day I sat in her chair and told her I needed something different but I had no idea what to do. Within minutes, Lisa had the style envisioned for me. And every time I sit in her chair, I give her full reign with my hair because she knows what looks better on me than I do. I have NEVER been disappointed. Just when I don't think my hair can look any better, it does!

I highly recommend Lisa Rivoli - you won't be disappointed!

I felt like a movie star!

I went to get my hair cut by Lisa Rivoli after my long -time hairstylist moved out of the area. My friend recommended Lisa and likes her a lot. I can now say I totally agree with my friend - Lisa is great. She really listened to what I wanted, which was change of hair style. I was nervous to have a new hair stylist attempt a hair style change on my hair, but I had not reason to worry. Lisa listened, grabbed a magazine, pointed to some photos of hairstyles, made sure we understood each other, and did a fabulous job. I left her salon feeling like I looked like a movie star! I was supposed to go home right afterward, but I felt like I should be attending a red carpet event! I will definitely go to Lisa again!

Lisa is fantastic!

Lisa is the only person I have let touch my hair since 2003. She is a consummate professional - she knows exactly what to do with my hair to keep me looking great, and makes suggestions as to which style would best flatter my face and lifestyle, so much so that I trust her completely -- whatever she suggests, we do. She is great at communicating what she is going to do, and I always walk out looking fabulous. I love my color and she changes up the highlights/lowlights by the season so I don't get bored. People are always asking me who does my hair, often enough that I extra Joule cards in my purse to give out. In addition, she is such a warm, friendly person that I look forward to my visits - kind of like having your sister cut your hair.

I drive 50 minutes from Knightdale to have Lisa work her magic, but I would drive in from Greensboro every 6 weeks if I had to.

New Start

Joule Salon is like a Wonderful Family! !

Lisa and her staff are WONDERFUL. From the moment you make an appointment over the phone and then walk through their doors, you feel like you are family. They LISTEN to your visions, they understand your level of styling ability, they see your facial features that need to be emphasized and then they do their MAGIC. What was most important to me was the fact that Lisa took as much time as I needed to "teach" me how to make my new hairstyle look fabulous day after day once leaving Joule Salon.
