Great food, great concept!
I really enjoyed this place. The food was delicious - I had asparagus & bleu cheese soup and a cherry & brie salad with chicken, and my husband had a vegan chili. I love the fact that the recipes come from books they sell in the store. The food has a gourmet quality to it, but the prices are very reasonable. Our waiter was excellent, too. It's such a unique concept, and I loved being steps from the bookstore. It was so nice to browse around after finishing our meal. I look forward to returning there!

Disappointed
Had dinner Sat eve and although the pasta dish was good, the service lacked. It took 20 min for the dish to come out and we were the only couple besides two young ladies who shared a salad. Every time we wanted refills on our ice tea, my husband had to go in search of our server. She never did come back to check to see if we needed anything after the dish was brought out. We will not return b/c there are better places with better service. The only plus.... the pasta was one of the best dishes we have had anywhere tho...it just should not have taken 20 min to prepare with no one else there.

Great salads
Bronte Bistro is the restaurant inside Joseph-Beth if your ever having trouble finding it. I wanted to mention that because it's a must to try! The salads are great and I know from the others in my group that the other dishes are delicious! I like that you don't have to spend a fortune to get quality and tasty food. Service is very friendly and helpful and I like that the manager came to our table to ask how we were doing. That is a great way to keep customers coming back. I noticed they have special events paired with the bookstore, so I'll be sure to check those out for next time.

Spicy child's pizza! Stay away!
I like Bronte's food in general, but today I took my 6 year old and she ordered a cheese pizza off the child's menu. She wouldn't eat it because it was "too spicy." It was hard for me to tell at the time because I also had ordered a spicy sandwich, bu when I got home I tried the pizza. Absolutely inedible for a child. In fact, I sampled it 10 minutes ago and my mouth is still on fire!!!Worldwide > United States > Charlotte, NC > Restaurants
