A cut above the typical suburban grill
With an upscale wine list, spacious place settings and top quality food, the Coach Grill brings a touch of urban style to dining in the suburbs.PREJUDICED establishment
Went recently for the second time.Incredible Dining Experience
I have always had an outstanding experience at the Coach Grill. It's a place to celebrate a special occasion or (if you can afford it) go for a great dinner whenever possible. The staff is warm and friendly and will bend over backwards for you to have an incredible time. The food has always been superb and the atmosphere is great. The dress is business casual but the only thing you cannot wear is a tank top or a hat (and only for men). I have never had any problems with the service, food, or the way I dress. I would reccomend it to anyone.Keep on driving..............
The Coach Grill experience can be summarized in a few words: dry, overcooked, and outdated come to mind. Let's discuss last evening's meal: the delicious bread arrives with semi-frozen pats of butter that promptly tear it to pieces; the main entrees, filets with Maryland crab cake and chicken, arrive with smallish filets that are overcooked and dry as is the crab cake; the Statler chicken is good but tiny (no steroid fed poultry here) and not what you expect from a restuarant of this reputation; the side order of asparagus is done to destruction tasting more like my lawn looks at this time of year; and dessert is an unremarkable, bland cheescake with stale crust. Our server had to be asked twice to refill our water glasses and an elderly group of diners resorted to calling out for their server from across the room. The clientele included a baby in a stroller, teenagers in shorts and sneakers, and mothers in near beach apparel. The decor is an outdated, upscale steakhouse look that no doubt was reproduced all over the country long ago. While this enterprise of the BBRG affords convenient parking, I suggest that you still head to Boston for your memorable steak experiences (easily forgetting the pain of parking after enjoying your fabulous meal!) If you must remain in the suburbs stick with the chain steakhouses as they offer a better value for your dollar and better steaks too!Pass straight by it ...
Don't even think about it! The place is NOT a quality food place as looks might have you believe. Our steak was dry. The salad was not even close to fresh. Frozen butter...really classy touch for a "diner" but not a good restaurant. Deserts were fairly bland and seemed like "store bought". Potatoes with steak were undercooked. We feared sending stuff back for God knows what "chef" would do to our food if he got "p1ssed". So, we left a good portion of it. Do yourself a favor - keep driving!Outstanding Restaurant in Metro West
To start off, please ignore some of the comments below as I can assure you they are unfounded and not true. I have been going to the Coach Grille for years and can tell you that it's a very classy place with a relaxed atmosphere serving OUTSTANDING freshly prepared food. You can easily spend %40 more at a simlar quality establishment in downtown Boston. I trust this place so much that I take my clients and family there because I know what to expect and that is a 5 start meal and service. I recommend the seafood specials because they are fresh off the New England coast and the bone in NY Sirlion is rediculously good. Enjoy.Worldwide > United States > Wayland, MA > Law and Courts
