go to crystal
Crystal has lots of experience and training. Is obsessed with skin. She will point out an underlining blemish and can coach you on why (other than lack of facials) certain areas are more prone to breakouts by relating them to different organs in the body. . She knows the background an heaps of different lines is interested in her work and honest. If she recommended a product to me I would give it a try for sure. I know she cares about my skin as much or more than I do. Hydra is a really nice spa too not just about skin care also about relaxation. Be Pampered

DO NOT GO TO CRYSTAL
I have seen Crystal multiple times for facials and waxing. Recently I went to see her and she failed to inform me prior to my appointment that her mouth was broken out in cold sores. She should not be working in a spa, touching people's faces and bodies, with open sores that are a serious virus. I will never go back to Spa Hydra if they feel this is an acceptable practice.

Not worth the money
I went to Crystal for three facials and was not impressed. I never found the people at the front desk to be friendly. I recommend Mario Badescu in Manhattan.

Crystal is amazing.
I think it's possible that Crystal saved my skin. I went in with super dry skin that was breaking out (I was hideous, not to mention scared to go outside) and she was soo incredibly nice and assuring. She gave me the greatest facial and was so sensitive to what my skin was needing. I don't know what she did (I don't understand all that stuff-probably why my skin is messed up in the first place) but whatever it was, was pure magic. I walked out of there a different person. I will absolutely recommend her to all of my friends.

Peace and tranquality in the city.
My idea of bliss is an afternoon in Hydra Day Spa, their facials and massages are something from "a bygone time", when Ladies had hours to pamper themselves. I received a facial from Crystal, boy what an experience! I snoozed for most of it and my skin felt and more importantly, looked like Peaches and Cream afterwards. She gave me great skincare advice, definately a day to be repeated.

The perfect place to relax
I felt compelled to write this review after the most amazing spa facial ever. From the moment i stepped inside the door of this spa i felt like i was in a cocoon of comfort. The girls at the fron t desk were attentive and professional. I had a hydrating facial due to very dry skin. This treatment was decided upon in consoltation with my therapist crystal. This girl was thorough, sincere and really made me feel comfortable and reassured about my treatment. I never felt rushed and was entirely relaxed. The results following my facial were close to miraculous and i really feel that this was due to the attentive nature of crystal, who didn't treat me like just another client. I felt like i was the most important person in the world. I will definitely return to this spa. She really put me first, a rarity today. relaxing spa, knowledgable staff, great results. Thank you

extremely disappointed
I had a massage over the weekend that left me feeling like I visited a butcher shop. Normally, if I get a mediocre massage, I will just let it go and move on. On this occasion, I feel it is important for me to warn people who have back issues to stay away from this spa. I requested a sports massage and was reassured that my masseuse was fully trained. So, naturally, I expected a high quality massage. He wasn't sensitive or attentive to my pains. I flinched an awful lot throughout the massage which added to my stress level. Never have I felt more pain walking out of a massage than when I walked in. The soreness around my neck has been so unbearable today, that I had to pop a painkiller. I was also disappointed that he didn't focus on stretching and hit some pressure points to ease pain in my lower back (the real issue). My last sports massage was with Poi who worked magic. Unfortunately, she is no longer around, which will have me looking for another place.
