Dr. did not wash her hans!
I am judging this office based solely on the cleanliness, because that is important to me and my children are rarely sick so we don't go in to frequently. The waiting room and patient's rooms are clean, not sparkling, but nothing to really talk about either. Last winter I took my child in because she was sick with the flu and high fever. Her regular doctor, who we like, was not in. The woman doctor ( I do not know her name, but she is the only one in the practice.) came in to examine her, and did not wash her hands first! On top of that, she was coughing all over us. It was horrible! If you go, ask for the male doctors-they wash their hands everytime!I recommend Dr. Stewart
I have used Dr. Stewart for the past 22 years. I specifically ask for her and am disappointed if I have to see anyone else. She was the primary physician of all my children and now of my grandchildren. If you cared about sanitary conditions as much as you want people to think you do, you would notice that she uses the sink at the nurse's station and washes her hands before entering each room AND often washes her hands in the exam-room, also. Get your facts straight before you bash this doctor.Excellent care for my child!
My child had lots of trouble with ear infections/sinus infections/fever -- I switched to this practice when my child was approx. 6 months old, because I was very unhappy with the group I was using. On my first visit to North Cobb Pediatrics, I knew I had made the right choice! We have seen all of the doctors in the practice and we like every one of them. (Unlike some other pediatric groups, you don't have to select a doctor and use them exclusively -- you can see any doctor at just about any time.) The doctors were proactive in treating not only my child's recurring symptoms, but in investigating the causes of her chronic ear infections. Dr. Nalley referred us to a very good pediatric ENT. Working in concert with that ENT, the underlying issues were resolved. My child is 3 years old now, and hasn't had an ear infection or a cold in a year!Washing hands
I have used this group since my children were infants and they are now 22 and 15. As a Nurse Practitioner myself what you may not realize is that that she just washed her hands before entering the room. I understand that it makes a difference to see the MD wash their hands in front of you. You as the patient/family need to remind them if they forget. You never know what the practitioner has just dealt with before coming to see your child - it may have been a telephone call to the hosptital about a child who is not doing well. So never judge a practice based upon that soley and take just give them a friendly reminder.Worldwide > United States > Kennesaw, GA > Doctors
