great prices, if you want to challenge lowe's or home depot and see if they honor competitor prices, show them a Houston Garden Center off ad and see if they will honor off.Bought my whole law...OOPS! overcharge! Sorry, No refund!
My experience was at the Cypress store on 290. But the policy at all of them seems to be the same. They will overcharge you on items then claim they can't give you a refund. Force you to sign some...Bait and Switch company
Houston Garden Center ( all of them) is by far the most dishonest company in Houston, even worse then some of the car companies. They false advertise prices and stock on TV and on the side of the...TICK infested Christmas Tree
I purchased a christmas tree from their Katy location. A few weeks later I found ticks all over the dining room where the tree was. I saw the ticks crawling off of the tree and onto my carpet! I had...Unscrupulous operation
My wife and I purchased a Christmas tree from the Houston Garden Center in Spring, Tx only to find that the employee who prepared the tree, made a foot long and very wide crack in the trunk. All we...**
How do you find a corporate address or phone number? After 30 minutes I know the names Matthew and Kim Hooper but not much else. The phone numbers at the stores don;t answer or take messages. I just b...Rude Phone Customer Service
I called to verify information regarding a sales ad that was already out, but they had no such products in stock. Well, I called the 713-218-0860 number, the only number you can get thru. I had the pl...Rude and tried to rip off
This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. I asked for 4 bags of an item. The woman charged me for 2. I caught the error and asked her to re-do the charge. She did everything she co...Ruthless Company

I have been in Houston 4 years and never bought plants. When it came time to get some for my balcony I naturally went to the place you see all over town; HOUSTON GARDEN CENTERS. I am bad with plants but wanted to get a few for my balcony with Spring almost here. I asked the manager if he could show me a few plants that would work for me, that would fit my sunlight situation and would be easy to maintain. He then had some guy who does not speak English assist me and of course this guy could not understand anything I said. So I went back to the manager, who was completely disinterested in helping me. I tried to tell him my sunlight situation and budget. He didn't really listen. Showed me two trees in the $60-100 range never even asking what kind of plants I might want or what my budget was (I didn't want trees, I wanted plants and herbs). The 3rd time I was speaking to the manager and he showed he wasn't interested I walked off and left. I will not go back to a place that treats its customers this way, especially a new customer. I can get plants just as easily at Lowe's, Home Depot, Wal-Mart or many other locations around Houston. I would recommend you do the same.no customer service and a crappy no return policy
The plants are pretty, but they are sorely lacking in customer service. The employees don't greet you nor offer assistance. You are invisible. They have the worst return policy. I can understand not being able to return plants and used items, but I purchased one of the over the railing plant holders and could not return it. I learned this after this visit...the railing plant holders typically come with hardware. Now I wasted $25 for a useless plant holder b/c they don't give you the hardware that is supposed to come with it. Their excuse is, "We are a different company." "We don't offer returns." It's utter crap! The "manager" is apparently the guy who patrols the people walking in and out. Most indifferent person I've ever encountered. It's a better idea to go to Home Depot, where there are people who know about plants or at least try to help you out.Worldwide > United States > Spring, TX > Lawn & Garden Equipment
