Small selection, but good quality.
I found my dream wedding dress at House of Brides. The staff was relatively helpful but overall I just loved the more intimate selection. Larger shops overwhelmed me. I think this is the perfect place to start--and most likely you won't need to go anywhere else!

House of Brides is very misleading.
I am rating house of brides to be unsatisfactory.The reason being is because the forst time I was there to pick out my wedding gown the experience was wonderful,A few months later (after they already had my sale). I came back to show my bridal party and i was not satisfied with the material of the gown, it was not like thesample gown you basically saw right through it. The owner 's respons to that was i was Knit picking at evey little thing. First off i was not knit picking you clearly saw right through my gown and so hdr answer to that was you are tan... well let me askk you all this? What if I was sfrican american? Even if I was Knit pickingthat is the business brides get crazy and this is my wedding gown. I do not recommend gowing to House of brides, because once they get your sale..there true side comes out.I was absolutely morttified in front of my bridal party because i raved over how great the place was. I guess I was wrong!

I strongly disagree with that ast review. I found them to be very helpful. there was a bit of an issue with my gown and hte owner who is very kind and understanding has told me to come in and she will fix the gown. I had brought the gown home because i live far away and my grandmother wanted to see it. I give house of brides a 5 star rating

WONDERFUL
The Bridal party, including me, bought our dresses elsewhere. My sis, the bride, also bought her dress elsewhere. We only used them for alterations. They were not only perfect, but the service was impeccable. Most places have an attitude if you only use them for alterations. She didn't at all. She was so amazing. The owner is kind, understanding and overly willing to accommodate your every whim. She's incredible. The bridesmaids got our alterations pretty last minute b/c there was a problem with the dresses (which were bought elsewhere) and she had no problem with it. She didn't charge any extra for the rush either. We would have been screwed w/out her. This place is fantastic.
