Finally comes to Indy

Finally a Bloomington favorite came to indy. My friends and I feasted on Big Ten specials a lot in college. Their breadsticks and Dixie Chicken pizza are the best! I was estactic when they expanded up to the indianapolis area. My family now orders the Big Ten Bargain at least once a month.

OH MY HEAVENS THATS SOME GOOD PIZZA!!

I'm quite the pizza fanatic, and HotBox has won my heart. I have never had such an exceptional pizza experience. Not only is the food 100% amazing, but the staff is really nice! I like to order for delivery and pick up, and either way, the service is wonderful. I definately recommend HotBox to anyone who enjoys a good pizza. This isn't the cheap stuff you get at other pizza shops. This is some quality stuff at that Hotbox!

You don't get what you pay for

This place has gone downhill. It used to be tolerable service for pretty good and reasonably priced pizza. This is no longer the case. The service is horrible. You actually have to ask for straws and i can only assume that good service is only by request as well. This is just the beginning. Upon delivery, the service is just as bad. When ordering drinks do not expect to get them. When I called to tell them they had only delivered 2 of 4 drinks, they said "well there is nothing we can do about it now." Under no circumstances is this type of service acceptable. Furthermore, I wish I could say this was a rare instance but this seems to be the kind of service and quality of business that this establishment regularly practices. For the price of the pizza, not only do you get horrible service but also mediocre pizza. Overpriced, horrible customer service, and alright pizza is really what you pay for here. Truly a sad state of affairs when a business such as this is allowed to prosper.

Sooper dooper awesomest pizza EVER!!!

My family orders pizza at least once a week and I wanted to try a new place that wasn't your average chain. I was really impressed with this hometown gem! I was ordering delivery for 8 people and when I called in, the girl on the phone was really patient with me when I told her that this was my first time ordering. She asked me a couple of questions about what we usually order from the other places and made some suggestions. I ended up ordering our standard meat lovers pizza (they call it the Porky the Pie--freakin' hilarious!!!) and a plain cheese for the kids, then I added a small "Hot Chick" (a pizza with buffalo sauce instead of marinara) just to try something new. We also added some "notorious" breadsticks. They quoted us 45 minutes and the guy got here in less than 40 minutes!! The pizza was amazing--hot and fresh-- and while the standards were great, I was blown away by the Hot Chick. I have to admit, the Buffalo sauce thing made me a little nervious, I mean, seriously--buffalo sauce? on pizza? Yeah, well, it's my new favorite--although I think I'll try the BBQ one next time! Oh, on a side note, I'm raving about the pizza, but the breadsticks were great too. I got ranch sauce for them because the kids like it and I guess they make the ranch themselves right there in the store! All in all, it was an amazing experience. My oldest always talks about going there late nights in Broadripple on the weekends, so I never took them seriously, but Hot Box Pizza has become our new pizza night staple. (and to the last whiney butt that posted a review--we got SIX drinks and they all came with straws)

Disappointed Loyal Customer

The other night i called to place an order, at the end when it came time to give my credit card info, i said hold on and that i needed to get my card. As soon as i said this, the Hot Box employee named Chad the manager told me that i needed to hurry up or i was going to be put on hold. Working in the service industry myself, i know that this kind of behavior is unacceptable. Also, delivery orders are usually only 75% correct, but they usually are good at coming back or giving you a free pizza coupon. Really the employee service is has became spotty and they should be re-trained.

Horrible service

Hot box always claims to be about their customers, but they are clearly not. If you don't look like them with tattoos and piercings they will be rude to your face and even ruder behind your back- at least wait until the customers are out of the store. You work at a pizza place, sorry but no matter how hipster you think you are, its not cool. Ever.

Never coming back

This has to be the worst pizza my husband and I have ever had. Knowing what we know about food cost in this business, this is one of the most low cost food items out there. And a real good pizza is not difficult to make, but this place has that art down to a fine science. We looked through the menu and felt that the way the product was being advertised, it could be real good, so we decided on the build your own. We ordered the old school pizza crust with red sauce, ground beef, spinach, sundried tomatoes, and mozz. cheese. The guy on the phone was somewhat friendly, seemed to be in a hurry, It took roughly a half an hour, the girl that delievered the pizza said she was new, seemed very friendly. Brought the pizza in, opened the box and WOW! It looked disgusting. The middle of the pizza looked partially melted, which was odd because the sundried tomatoes that were thrown on top were all burnt. There was barely any spinach on it, we counted seven leafs, which were also thrown on the top and totally dried out. And the meat was beyound disgusting. The meat looked like rabbit poop, literally like rabbit pellets. How hard is it to cook ground beef? Worst of all it tasted like sausage, which it probably was. The crust was raw in the middle of the pizza, which would explain why the cheese in the middle of the pie was not fully melted. It amazes me how these kind of places stay in business. Do people really not care or is they have no concept of good food? The worst part is that I spent almost $20.00 on this pile of rabbit pellets. Buyer beware, this is the nastiest pizza I have ever had, PLEASE, do not waste your time or money on this crap.
