Hot tips does great nails
I had never gotten my nails done before, but I was getting married and I couldn't have chewed-up fingernails for pictures! It was easy to get an appoinment here, and the girl who did my nails was very nice, and very professional. Their prices are reasonable (perhaps because it's so close to Pitt) and they also offer tanning. I was pleased with the results. I rarely get my nails done (only for special occasions) but when I do, I make a special trip back to Oakland to get them done here.

Not Recommended
I needed somewhere close to my office to get my nails done before the weekend of 4/13. Going to Hot Tips was a mistake. I explained that I did not want the acrylic any thicker than it already was, and he didn't listen. My nails ended up being thicker than when I arrived, and the acrylic is was uneven. The airbrush job they did wasn't very good. I had to ask her to redo a few of the nails. The worst part that is that the acrylic starting chipping off that weekend. Not the paint, the acrylic. This is honestly the worst fill I have gotten in years. I would not recommend spending your money here even if you need your nails done at the last minute like I did. I do recommend McNeilly Nails in Dormont on McNeilly Rd next to Amel's Restaurant. They are the best in my opinion.

Good Job
I went in for a quick job during my lunch hour. They worked quickly but at the same time was careful to do a good job. I'll go back if I ever need to get my nails done during the day when I won't have time in the evening or on the weekend.Worldwide > United States > Pittsburgh, PA > Nail Salons
