Hopkins Senior High School
My child is a recent graduate of Hopkins Senior High School. Prior to attending Hopkins she attended Edina public schools for K-9, so I feel that I have a good reference in which to compare Hopkins. I am very impressed with Hopkins Senior High. The students have so many choices of study, from maths and sciences to history and fine arts. Not only are the electives numerous but they also have the choice of AP classes and college in the schools. College in the schools is a program where the students take a class at Hopkins that follows the U of MN curriculum and they receive college credit for the class (as well as their high school credit). There are many clubs and organizations available to the students. The student body itself is very diverse and yet I never had the sense of the cliques that I saw at Edina. I feel that the students and teachers all have respect for each other.
