Dr. Andrew Dill

I have seend several different doctors in this practice and Dr. Andrew Dill in my honest opinion has horrible bed side manners. He is inexperienced with patients and does not treat them like people. He has an abrupt manner that is very abrasive and he can be very condecending. I would not recommend him to anyone. I have seen better in this practice, but he is definitely not one of them. I will not be going back to him. I have seen him more than a handfull of times.
His wait time is normally over 45 minutes so if you do brave it, better take something to entertain yourself with-altogether you will be there for about 2 hours.

Andrew B Dill

I am not sure of where the other review gets their anger but my experience with Dr. Dill was wonderful. He takes his time with you and is truely aware of your needs as a physician. He speaks to you and asks you questions concerning your visit. Our wait was only about 15 minutes. I find that quite normal in a doctors office if you want personal attention during your visit. Some other doctors don't even take time with your concerns, they are in and out in under 5 min, you are just another dollar sign$$$!! But Dr. Dill is not like this at all. He was very well educated and great with my children too. I would recommend him to everyone! Don't pay attention to Mr. Angrey...they obviously have other issues to attend to!

Dr. Dill compared to Dr. Lau

I have had the chance to see both doctors at this office. And I must say, HANDS DOWN that Dr. Dill has better bedside manners than Dr. Lau.
Dr. Dill talks to like you are an equal and helps you understand what is going on without making you feel that you are less than him and lower than him. He is past military and is proud to talk about it. What a wonderful and understanding doctor. His staff is also great. My wait was also minimal, not much different than other offices.
Dr. Lau, however, seemed to have the concept that he was above and beyond better than his patients. I did not appreciate his arrogate demeanor! Doctors of this nature need to be banded from medical practice. I am shocked that he even has patients that come to him!

Assembly line medicine in this place

I am new to Gallatin and was looking for a doctor when I found this group on google. I am still looking for a doctor. When I called to make an appointment, I was told that Dr. Dill had "room in his practice for new patients". Now I know why. First of all, the office setting is old, and dirty. Not a positive first impression of a doctors office. The entry is crowded, and the "check in" process is horrible! Too many people in too small a space. After filling out paperwork, I was directed to Dr. Dill's waiting room which was filthy! It smells of cigarette smoke, had a very loud TV on some "I hate my husband" type of screaming program, and was so crowded, it was hard to even walk in. My wait time was well over 30 minutes, and I was within seconds of leaving when my name was finally called. I was hoping that things would get better, but I found the staff to be rushed, and obviously anxious to get me the heck out of there so they could get to the next patient. I thought they would take some time with me as I was a new patient, but that didn't seem to matter. Dr. Dill was a bit more patient than his staff, but I still felt that I was taking too much time, and did not talk to him about everything I wanted to because of that. As I went to other locations for tests he ordered, I was told that some other doctor had ordered the tests, so I was wary of even doing them as I wasn't sure I was doing what I was supposed to. Very unsettling... Then, to really demonstrate a total lack of communication, I got a letter in the mail from yet another doctor informing me of an appointment, which had not been discussed at all! When I got to that appointment I found out that the new doctor was a SURGEON! No one had even discussed a need for surgery, so I walked out. Certainly not the way to do business in my mind... Anyone got a recommendation for a more caring, smaller office group of doctors in Gallatin?

Andrew Dill, MD

I can't even imagine a worse doctor than Dr. Dill......it's not his skill that i'm talking about, it's the way he treats patients. He has NO people skills - he is off-handed, doesn't listen, has a "do as I say and shut up" manner. I knew right from the start that he wasn't a good fit for me, but i thought I'd give it a chance. The last time I was there I left in tears because he refused to talk with me.....just kept telling what I "HAD" to do. Knowing that I didn't have health insurance he sent me on to two other doctors, ordered several tests that just "HAD" to be done right now. I think he was upset because I DARED to question him by asking why he was switching my medications when the ones I was on were working extremely well and then having an attitude when I wanted to discuss a medication that wasn't workng very well and tried to explain that I was looking for suggestions and some help and compassion for my situation. All I got was the cold shoulder. I went to this group looking for ONE doctor who would get to know me and help me with most of my medical problems, who would understand that i'm doing the best I can without health insurance, that I'm an intelligent patient and that I want to be part of my treatment plan. He didn't seem to give a damn about how I felt. He knew I was very upset and he just walked out of the room without even saying anything. Nice way to treat a patient, Dr. Dill. On my last visit I had to wait at least 40 minutes and he spent maybe 15 with me and then because he was upset with me (I think) he charged me $98.00 for an "extended" visit when the time before it was a much smaller amount and I was in there with him a much longer time. I was sitting in a chair in the treatment room trying to pull myself together and they kept checking to see what I was doing and when I was going to leave.

Not a very good experience!

Worst doctor award in gallatin

After moving to Gallatin two years ago I have been searching for a local physician to no avail. I was recommeded to Dr. Andrew Dill by Dr. Michael Lee, both of these gentleman, and I use that term sarcastically, were rediculous. Horrible, insulting remarks were made about my character in front of my advocate. Dr. Dill's personal sense of omnipotence over YOU, is overwhelming. I left in tears after being threatened with police action for requesting a refill from my regular physician, who was out of town and located in my former resident city. He did not listen to me or the advocate who took me to the appointment. To be frank, Summner Medical Group is the worst facility I have ever been to. While we the customers sit and wait, all that can be heard in the background is the chatter of unoccupied personel. If this the standard of medical care YOU want then RUN don't walk to 300 Steam Plant Rd. where you can be made to feel like ignorant insignificant cattle. I may not know anything about cattle, but I do know abhorrent idiot when I see one.

Dr. Wayne Hooper

My stepfather became ill several months ago and went to his doctor, Dr. Hooper, who did bloodwork and a catscan and said everything was normal. He still was not getting any better and went back again, this time with my mom, knowledgable RN that she is. She suggested some things Dr. Hooper could possibly try but to no avail. Dr. Hooper blew him off until he ended up at the ER and was admitted to Sumner Regional, where he has been in ICU the last three weeks. He has since developed multiple health problems: fractured tibia from falling out of bed, gall stones, GI hemorraghing, pneumonia in both lungs and both lungs collapsed, two rounds of sepsis, and my personal favorite, ecoli in his lungs. I am so angry at Dr. Hooper because things DID NOT have to reach this point. We are now looking at the possiblity of years long recovery, or the possibility that he may never be any better than he is right now. I know his family and friends are devastated at this thought. For me, I am incredibly heartbroken, as I love this man as though he was my own father. He has taken more of an interest in me in the twelve years he has been married to my mother than my own father ever did. The thought of not having him back is beyond my comprehension. All we can do at this point is pray, and hold on to the smallest shred of hope that he will defy all of the odds against him. I hold Dr. Hooper completely responsible for the situation we are in. As a physician, it is YOUR responsibility to take care of your patients, and if you can't or you don't want to, FIND SOMEONE WHO WILL. The last three weeks have been physically and emotionally draining on all who love this man, to see him lying in a hospital bed, not even knowing who we are half the time, or trying desperately to tell us something but so weak the words won't form. As of today, Dr. Hooper's response? "Whatever, send him wherever they will accept him". Meaning, nursing home, even though he is still septic and most likely will not receive the kind of care he needs in any nursing home. I truly pity Dr. Hooper's patients if this is the kind of care he gives. Or maybe he just didn't think my stepfather was worth his care, and if that's the case, SHAME ON YOU. You have NO idea what a kind, caring man he is and you obviously don't care that you have taken him away from the ones who love him with your neglect. Maybe you need to be on the receiving end of medical care.
