Shady Business Practices
I worked with Honeycutt Painting on a job in Martin County, Fl. Honeycutt used uninsured day labor, switched primer and paint in cans to appear they were using the proper product when they actually weren't. Improperly pressure washed buildings, got paint overspray on windows, hurricane shutters, cars, boats, etc. He bid the job too low to properly complete the job. He left the job unfinished. Suppliers were unpaid, labor was unpaid. He made no attempt to rectify anything he had done. After he got his draws he left leaving the property owners in a very bad position. When persons tried to contact him to get things straightened out he did not answer phone calls or return messages.

I worked for this company for 1 day and quit all in the same day. These people are scam artist that do not want to pay you for the work you have done. DO NOT WORK WITH OR FOR THIS COMPANY!!! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY TO DO ANY WORK FOR YOUR HOUSE!!!

Honeycutt Painting Fraud - Door to Door Lead Generation
Company is a fraud. When payday came, the owner was missing to pay us. He paid us cash and shorted everyone. I worked 40 hours at $12 an hour and was handed $300. I had to make a huge fuss too to get paid. I saw him and another employee almost get into a fist fight because he shorted his pay. www.bbb has his company rated F and WCNC channel 36 has an investigation report of a $3, 400 paint job warranty not honored. The news team investigation tried tracking down his business after phone calls were not returned. All of his business locations turned out to be mail boxes.

poor employer
Jim Honeycutt is a arrogant peice of work, I completed 2 jobs for him and put my own money into these projects, the customers were very satisfied with my work and had no problem paying for the work, he has gotten paid for both jobs and I havent even seen a dime of the money, as I am typing this message he is in a local bar getting drunk spending money he says he doesnt have. He wanted me to thin out the stains I was applying to the surfaces, I refused to do that, so it cost more to do the job. If you are thinking about working for him or employing him to do work for you GO SOMEWERE ELSE!!!!!

This company is a joke. We did work for them and everytime we talked to he say I'll pay you Friday well Friday never came. We talked to the home owner he was pleased. But still never go payed. He is a major froud STAY AWAY.

They did great work. I would highly recommend this company to all of my friends. They were timley, professional in all ways. Addressed all of my concerns, the owner always answered my questions. The crews were very nice and professional as well.
