I went to get regular nail tips at this place and the lady there told me to do the UV Gel Tips, she said it's very safe and she has lots of customers using this, so even though I was not there to get the UV gel tips I let her talk me into trying it. I went to get them taken off 7 days ago, and they told me it doesn't soak off, so I had to pay extra $10 to get it taken off. And when it did come off I was shocked and scared when I saw the condition of my own nails. All my real nails were very weak and had scarring from the tips and two of my finger nails on my right hand were so very red and paper thin that it hurt just to touch them, because the lady had applied too much UV gel and the UV light apparently burned through the layers and even though it has been 7 days since I took off those tips I have had to keep those two nails constantly wrapped in a bandage and they still hurt and are still very thin, and they look as if I had suffered a burn, which I actually had from the wrong application of the UV gel. I wish I knew how to upload pictures here to show what they look like, I had not taken pictures on december 12th when I had the tips taken off, but I did take them today and will keep a picture record from today onwards. I am going to go to my doctor and ask if my nails will heal completely. I hope to God my nails get healed fully. I have not asked for a refund, I am just hoping and praying my nails get better soon. Needless to say that I will never let any nail salon lady talk me into anything ever again.
SO So
This place does an ok job on nails and waxing. Sometimes there is a long wait due to the amt of walk-ins instead of making appointments. Overall I have left there feeling satisfied with the job done.Worldwide > United States > Staten Island, NY > Beauty & Spas
