Foreign Affair
I've used Foreign Affair for the last 10 years on my 15 year old Integra with a high level of satisfaction. They have been really good to me. They always explain what they have done and what potential problems they see but never push me to get those problems fixed by them. I highly recommend them

I won't buy a car that I can't take to Foreign Affair!
I've been taking my Honda and Acura cars to Foreign Affair for over 16 years. They are everything you could ask for in an independent (non-dealer) automotive service shop -- better than most dealers, and cheaper too. They used to work on only Honda and Acura cars, but had so many customers asking about Toyota and Lexus that they now work on those too. I wouldn't consider buying a car that I couldn't take to them to work on. They are the kind of shop where you can describe something that is wrong, and they will often know exactly what the problem is and how to fix it. I've consulted with them on new (or used) car purchases (which cars are better or worse from a reliability perspective), and they will also do an inspection of a car you are considering buying. Other than that, they do all the regularly scheduled maintenance, and will even give you a ride to work after you drop your car off.

Great Honda or Toyota Repair
We've been using Foreign Affair for at least 10 years now. Their knowledgeable staff is always friendly, service is consistently good, and it's great to have a service history on file. I'm glad that they wash my windows with a regular service. I wish that there was an afternoon shuttle service. Service prices are probably on the high side, but knowing that I have a reliable garage has influenced my decision to only buy a Honda or Toyota cars.

we found this via local consumer magazine, Bay Area Checkbook, over 10 years ago. Our Acura Legend 1991 L is still in great condition driving-wise. Compared to our 2000 Honda Odyssey, it has such a smooth solid, powerful ride even after 15 years. Oh this is a review on the mechanic not the car. Anyway, they have serviced our car (and our 1983 honda prelude which was also still chugging along b/ Sacto and SF up until about a year ago, but hasn't been serviced in the last 5 years by foreign affair!) since the early 90's and it's still going strong.
