Not a bad place to eat
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you are looking to impress someone or if you want something fancy but this is our families guilty pleasure. If you are really hungry and want to eat cheap this is the place to go. It's not super clean but it's not dirty either. It's a buffet style restaurant as the name implys. That is the only thing you can get - your drink is included and it's like $11. The bar sometimes is low on certain foods but if you request it or if you stay there long enought they will refill it. Drinks are self serve you don't have to wait for a busy waitress to give you a refill. Parking isn't bad at all and the wait usually isn't too crazy either. Some days you'll hit it at a busy time and then you might have to wait for a table but that's not every day. And even then the wait isn't usually long. They have the space if you have a large group gathering as well. The restaurant is noisy but I wouldn't think you'd expect candlelight and violins in a place calleDecent
Another one of your Home Town Buffets'. The food selection is pretty wide compared to fast foods, of course, but the food is just decent. Would recommend if you have a tight wallet and a big stomach.Food isnt that great
I wouldn't go here unless i had no other choice. The food here is pretty unhealthy and everything starts to get nasty after the first plate. Ups are that it is very cheap so if you're really hungry and don't want to spend a fortune, this might be your place. The service is pretty good though, they're always there to take your dirty plates rather then having them pile up at your table.Nothing Fancy .. but hey its all you can eat!!!
Cheap and lots of Above Average tasting food. You maybe hungry when you walk in, but you wiill always feel full walking out. We are not talking Vegas buffet, but it sure does beat McDonalds.Best one in the chain
I have been to at least 25 different Hometown & Old Country (same chain) buffets and this stands out as the best location. This particular location is nice and large and isn't usually anywhere near as crowded as other locations (except perhaps on Sundays at peak times and holidays.) Most of the time, I go at 'off times' (1:30-4 or so) and even when it is not busy, the buffet is replenished often.Yuck
I don't get this place. The food is like junior high school government-subsidized cafeteria food, except you have to pay for it. I found myself dodging geriatrics shuffling around excitedly like they'd discovered the greatest thing since fat free frozen yogurt, while I tried to find something, anything edible. Why was I here? I was coerced. Never again.Worldwide > United States > San Diego, CA > American Restaurants
