Home Slice Pizza is one of the best!
Great food! Kid friendly. I really like that they match up your wine with your meal. One of the best in Austin!Home Slice Pizza is good.
Delicious food! Some of the best pizza in Austin! Super fun place to have a blast with friends or family!Hands down best pizza....
Hands down best pizza in Austin. Cool, funky decor and cold beer. Very popular, so be prepared for a wait. That would be the only drawback is the limited seating. Overall, a must visit if you love pizza! My Favorite Pizza in Town
The pizza is fantastic. Make sure you get a freshly made pie to really do Home Slice justice. While the individual slices are good, the fresh baked pie is waaay better. If you like big slices of pizza baked with a nice thin NY-Style crust, Home Slice is your place. I go here often and the food is always tasty and the wait staff is good. Bartender dude with the crazy hair is super nice. If you don't like Home Slice you are probably a communist.Feels like "home"!
I'm loving this establishment. I'd have to agree with lang77 that some (or just one) of the servers have attitude but overall I've had pleasant accounts with most of the staff. If you visit often enough as my fam and I do then they start to know you by name and nix the attitude if they know you have a good attitude yourself. The pizza is great and greek salad is on par! This place is local for me so returning is a definite 'yes'!Delicious of course, but also very hip
From the outside it just looks like a normal pizza joint with a cool name, but once you walk in side it's suprisingly hip, with dim lighting, cool wall fixtures and modern seating areas. We expected to pop in and get a greasy slice on a paper plate Wednesday night. We ended up waiting 20 minutes because this place was hoppin! The host was kind enough to get us a glass of wine while we waited. The pizza was delicious, no doubt about it. I'm so pleased to have Home Slice down the street.Best pizza in Austin
Home Slice is the closest thing to authentic NY Pizza in Austin. So much so that the owners are taking the entire staff to NY for 3 days to "drink in" the NY Pizza experience.Best in Texas
Moved down from NYC in 05 and after months of complaining about horrible pizza, my buddy took me here to shut me up. I made it a point to visit once a week until I moved to SA, but always find time while I'm in town. Don't even acknowledge the bad reviews, those people were expecting CC's and got the real deal, they just weren't ready for it !Mmmmmmm....
Home Slice is awesome. Check out our video of Home Slice Pizza at:Homeslice Pizza
A lovely African American lady was totally ignored while the white patrons were taken care of & waited on appropriately. Austin doesn't have room for this sort of attitude & behavior. For shame.I love this place!
Such a good spot at the epicenter of South Congress...Awesome vibe....Great food...Best pizza in Austin!darn goooood pizza
being from nj orginally, this pizza holds up to what Ive come to expect from great pizza. I love this place!!!Excellent Pizza but limited space and parking
My wife and I just had lunch at Home Slice on Congress and it was excellent. We had heard good things about this pizzeria and we were pleasantly surprised to find out they were justified. We ordered the #6 pizza which is on the Tried and True menu; it consisted of sausage, ricotta cheese and roasted red pepper. It was some of the best pizza in town. We also ordered salads, she getting the Pear Gorgonzola (mixed greens w/walnuts and Dijon vinaigrette) and me the Italian Chef (house salad w/antipasto topping). They even came in half sized servings so we were not too filled up. The only down side being that you have to arrive early because it gets packed and park can be atrocious on Congress, but it is well worth it.New York Pizza!
