Fantastic service!
I've been taking my maltese here for about 3 months. Oscar and the staff have been so kind a gentle to him and he always looks fantastic when I pick him up!Best doggie daycare for tiny dogs!
I have been taking my "child," our 3 year old female Pomeranian to Maya and Karen for several years now. Sometimes she goes there to socialize with her Maltese best friend, sometimes she stays at Maya's house and plays with her Pom friend when we are away on vacation. The thing is, if you board your dog with Hollywood Hounds, your pooch gets to go home with one of the staff members and have a perfectly normal dog stay - no cages, no weird rooms, just become a member of a family (a great one!) while you're gone. Maya, the owner of Hollywood Hounds has an encyclopedic knowledge of what to do with dogs. The daycare itself is very nice, it's an old and very large private home, located on Sunset Blvd and Harper Avenue in West Hollywood. Small dogs are totally separate from big dogs. There are couches for them to sleep on, there is a yard where they can go out any time and the whole atmosphere is as much "family" and "human" oriented as possible. Yes, there is grooming, ultrasonic teeth cleaning and a small retail area where there are some cute doggie outfits - if that's your thing. But the best of all is that my dog is genuinely HAPPY to go there. When I tell her the words "doggie daycare" she barks and jumps around. She likes to play with her best friend and she's totally pooped when she gets home. She goes once a week for socialization and a couple of weeks a year when we go away. CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT HOLLYWOOD HOUNDS!!!Best Doggie Daycare in LA!
I've been taking my cocker spaniel to HH for almost five years. She loves it and so do I. Felix and Maya are great - and Karen is a gem. It's friendly and convenient. The best part is how much my dog loves being there!BAD PLACE
my dog was bitten while here and they didn't even tell me about it! first of all, he was just there to be groomed so i don't know why he was with other dogs in the first place. and then, they didn't tell me about it. he wasn't eating and was lethargic and we were worried sick for 3 days. then i touched his neck he cried and when i dug under the hair, i found 2 bite marks. i can forgive the fact taht he was bitten, but not that they tried to hide it from me. i would never go back here. they don't care about the dogs.Best dog daycare in LA!!! Great location! Great customer service! My dog gets excited to go every day!!!
I have been taking my small dog, Chelsea here for 8 months. The location is great, the people are very caring and my dog love's it there. I couldn't be happier!!!We LOVE Hollywood Hounds
Not only does my baby Coco, the cutest maltese ever, love getting groomed at Hollyood Hounds but she also loves to celebrate her birthday there. Maya and her team are amazing. They take great care of my baby girl and provide impeccable serivce.Awesome Doggie Day Care
I have two dogs and have taken them to Hollywood Hounds since they were each 4 months old. They LOVE it there! Maya, Felix, Karen and Andrei are a fantastic staff, I couldn't ask them to take better care of my dogs. You know it's a great place when you park outside and your dogs CAN"T WAIT to get inside! Thanks Hollywood Hounds!Hollywood Hounds is Fantastic
Our 120 lb Newfoundland is probably dreaming about this place when he sleeps! He can't wait to get in when we drop him off and at times we get the feeling he'd rather stay when we come to pick him up. The staff is wonderful and so friendly and you can tell they really just love their work and all these little "kids" they care for. We really trust and enjoy them.GREATEST DOGGIE DAYCARE AND GROOMING IN LA!
I have been taking my 2 beautiful Australian Shepherds to Hollywood Hounds for over 5 years now and they have always been incredibly well cared for and groomed! They are also very accommodating to my hectic work schedule and always willing to help out if I am late or need to drop my boys off early for grooming. Karen and Felix and Maya have been wonderful to Bleu and Sundance and for that I will always be grateful. As for the bad review I just read, everyone has a bad day once in a while and my opinion after 5 years should have more impact than someone who went there once. As for the owner of the dog who got bit by another dog, how do you know that they even knew about it? There is no way that Karen or Felix or Maya would allow a dog to be bit and not say anything to the owner right away, sorry they just would not do that!BUTCHER - NOT GROOMER!
I took my 11 lb. Shih Tzu to Hollywood Hounds based on decent reviews online. It was a regular bath and haircut visit...no matting, nothing unusual. In fact, upon dropping him off, I instructed them not to shave him and to simply cut him slightly shorter and bathe him. I picked my puppy up later that day. The groomer greets me with a pathetic face, handing me my dog and telling me "your dog bit me." I responded in awe and concern as my dog had never bit anyone in the two years he has lived with me. He is by no means a ferocious guard dog! I asked the groomer if he was o.k. and he responded "yeah no big deal." In response to my surprised disposition, the groomer said "maybe it's because he was matted on his tummy." LIE. He wasn't. They failed to mention anything else including the small detail that they had CUT AND SLICED MY DOG WITH RAZOR BURNS ALL OVER HIS ABDOMEN AND GENITALIA. No mention of this slight detail, let alone the courtesy of some ointment or relief through the weekend (this occurred on a Saturday). In plain English, the groomer "took the upperhand" to deflect from the injuries he inflicted on my puppy.Response To Sarita
I don't know what that Sarita woman is thinking when she wrote that review but I've been going to Hollywood Hounds with all three of my dogs for about seven months now... and I have never received anything but exemplory service, friendly interactions from the booking of my appointments to the pickups of my dogs, and the grooming has always been top notch. Their groomer pays great attention to detail, and my babies all love him. In the past at other facilities, they've been a little reluctant to go get their baths and haircuts, but with the groomer at Hollywood Hounds, they actually seem excited to go! And they always come out looking like movie stars! I for one couldn't be happier with the service there at all points, and my dogs look amazing! Take it from a parent of three different breeds large and small... the groomer at Hollywood Hounds will treat your dogs like royalty! I won't send my babies to anyone else!! Whatever this guy pulls in just isn't enough for the work and care he delivers!!Best dog-grooming we've ever had
Our dog was skittish from previous bad experiences, but our excellent vet, Dr. Patrick Mahaney at TLC Pet Hospital, recommended Hollywood Hounds. What a turnaround! She immediately responded well to David, the groomer, and from her first cut on, the results have been fabulous. She doesn't resist her appointments anymore, and is happy when she sees David. Whatever variations in cuts we ask for, we get. His work is artistic, professional, and best of all, he is kind and gentle with our dog. Each cut is beautiful, she is happy, and has completely lost her anxiety about grooming. The front desk manager is also lovely to deal with. Thank you David and Hollywood Hounds!Hollywood Hounds is the greatest!!!
I've been taking my cocker spaniel to Hollywood Hounds for grooming for 9 years. They always take great care of my baby and they're frienldy and personable. My dog and I always leave happy and with a beautiful haircut that she constantly gets compliments on. That's why I've been a loyal customer for 9 years. Thank you Hollywood Hounds for being the best groomers in LA!!!the worst place for your dogs!
the worst place for dogs ever!My Dog Loves Hollywood Hounds
This is my second shot at doggie daycare in LA and the first that doesn't smell like a urinal - the place is clean.Great!
I have been taking my dog there for 4 months now and they are great! He was naturally shy but has learned how to socialize with other dogs. The staff is fantastic, always excited to see the dogs - know owners and pets names. I would recommend this place to anyone.amazing, trustworthy place for dogcare!
simply put...the best.David Munson is outstanding!
I have been taking my dog Irene to David for 3 years. He has never been anything but a professional. He is an amazing groomer and GREAT with Irene. While on vacation, I took her to another dog groomer and she wouldn't get near him -- she runs to David with open arms. I also love the array of scents he elects to bestow on Irene, surprising me every time. And of course, she always looks great!truly a dogs best friend
I had to share our very positive grooming experience for our baby Phoebe-our gorgeous black lab. After trying different grooming salons across Cali we have found our new home away from home. Phoebe smells so delish after the wonderful grooming job done by Mr. David. I just love the bow she received after her bath. She enjoyed her visit so much & didn't want to leave. The loving care shown to her made us feel comforted in knowing our baby was being taken care of by special, capable, & very loving hands. You really feel a sense that Mr. David truly enjoys his profession. Can't wait til Phoebe's next visit. Would recommend this establishment to anyone who loves their babies(doggies) as much as we do. Kudos, great job :)Worldwide > United States > Los Angeles, CA > Dog Breeders
