Awesome Place, Very Chill

I have to tell you this place was great, the stylist are wonderful, they all seem to get along, the salon is very well kept up. It has a unique design. Very personable. They give you a robe, coffee and a great experience. There was only one problem, the recepetionist who thought more of herself and her fashion show than her job. I guess everyone cant be great, but luckily you only have to see her once on the way out.!!

THEY SAVED MY HAIR

I WENT IN ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO, HAD A BAD DYE JOB FROM ANOTHER SALON :(, ANYWAY, THEY GOT ME IN WRITE AWAY, FIXED MY HAIR ON THE FIRST TRY. I WAS AMAZED. THEY ARE THE BEST, GAIL, MICHELLE, SARAH, CASSIE, AND I THINK JONI (SORRY CANT REMEMBER ALL OF YOU). THEY WERE ALL GREAT, HELPED IN FIXING THE COLOR WITH MY HAIR. THE RECEPTIONIST WAS VERY NICE FOR IT BEING EARLY ON A FRIDAY MORNING, SHE GOT ME AN APPT THE SAME DAY I CALLED, I WAS TREATED VERY WELL FROM THE MOMENT I WALKED IN.

Great Haircut and Color/Exceptional Customer Service

My fiance got his hair cut at HCX in Cameron Village and liked it, so I went in to have my hair colored and cut. They did such an amazing job on the color and highlights I plan on making HCX my regular Salon. The stylists were friendly, and although we felt the manager was a little short, the overall atmosphere was very relaxed and comfortable.

In addition we thought the receptionists very friendly and helpful. If I remember her name, the receptionist named Brook gave exceptional customer service, and since we have just relocated to the area, she also recommended a great place close by for lunch as we were quite hungry after my hair appt. She also made several product recommendations which have convinced my fiance and I to switch to her recommended product lines.

Lastly, the website is very easy to use and navigate.

WOW that should do it

I have been a going to salons for sometime now and decided to try this one, I went to the ones in cary and didnt like it, however, this one was fun. The ladies that work there are nice. The front desk girls Amanda and Emily are very nice and work well together. I think that I would definitly refer people there. Allison did a good job on my hair-Thanks

Fantastic Service

I have been going to this salon for over a year now and love their service.!!! Michelle has taken me from short hair to growing my style out without that awkward time in between lengths: She has cut it so it grows out well and only needs a few trims. She is also a great person to talk to!

What I really love is that they don't push you to buy styling products that you don't need....They record everything in their system, so they know what products you arleady have, what you like, and when you are ready for a refill....And the products I have bought are quality products that last for a long time!

They are also good about trying to find a time to squeeze you in when you need a last minute trim or style....and they are willing to call you in the event an appointment opens up so that you don't have to rearrange your schedule!

I have recommended this salon to all of my friends who are looking for a new stylist!

Hair Angels!

HCX in Cameron Village is an amazing salon. I had never had compliments about my hair before Jennifer started cutting and coloring it. My friends now tell me how much younger I look. I totally trust Jennifer with my hair. So much so that I often let her decide what cut and color I need for the season. I have never walked away unsatisfied. Great job!

Highly recommended!

We first went to Haircolorxperts as an "emergency" after a bad hair color job from another salon. The very nice and understanding receptionist Alisha fit us in on a Sunday. Kassidy was able to fix my daughters "black" bad hair color back to almost normal!! She was so Great! I can not express how much we appreciate her understanding and knowledge! She has so much skill, I would trust her with any color , highlights, cut or style. Kassidy is truly a great hair sylist that enjoys her job. She is very friendly and makes your visit very enjoyable! I do not mind driving the 70 miles to return each time. It is well worth the drive for me and my daughter. Thank you Kassidy!!!!

wouldn't suggest going here!

All I have to say is "if the name of your salon is "haircolorxperts" you should be REAL hair color experts!" this place was totally ridiculous when i walked in and wanted a new color, they refused to give me the color I wanted and talked me into doing something else, that was not even close to what I wanted! If you're so called "hair color EXPERTS" why did you refuse to do a simple hair color that I have gotten done time after time? That is the LAST time I will try a new salon!!

Wish they had listened to what I asked for

My very first visit to this salon--so asked if the cut I was after (in the picture) was possible.(She said yes) Specified what I didn't want too. When I put my glasses back on I had the shortest hair I've ever had in my life! There was no rectifyihg it--Yes a great sylish cut--but not what I wanted or asked for. I'm just sorry I paid so much for something I hate having to live with.

overall - a wonderful experiance!

had a great experience with mark...was getting ready for my birthday party that evening, and wanted some thing fun and new. got an amazing cut, some hi-lites and the best blowout style i have ever had. great staff, all of them were fun and knowledgable. i loved the location also - right in the middle of cam village - an inside-the-beltline lover's dream! i recommend mark, go see him!

Great cut and color -

had great exp. here - wanted to try new place after bad dye job at another salon; Sara was able to not only fix the botched job done by the other salone, but was able to make me love my color and cut - not an easy fete. i am so picky when it comes to my hair - who isn't, right? i have definitely found a keeper in haircolorxperts and sara at cam village. the only down side was the parking - but i guess that just goes to show how in demand this salon is. great job!

loved the cary location, so i tried this one also

recently got my hair cut and colored w/ angela at this salon's cary location. had a great experience, and was in need of a blow out and was closer to cameron village, so i went to this location. had another great experience. great receptionist - i think her name was emily? and i had the best blow out of my life with mark. whether you're in cary or raleigh, try this salon. both locations are amazing.

Flawless cuts

I love this place! I've been three times now, and Alison does my hair. Not only have I gotten a great cut every time (seriously, whatever picture I bring in, she makes it happen - so accurate it's scary) but they also fixed a major at home dye screw up a few months ago. This was despite me not having a hair color appointment. Everyone is pleasant and when I had the color disaster another stylist came in and helped figure out a solution. Alison is awesome, this place is awesome, you can't go wrong for a stylish cut and color here! The prices are also reasonable, considering the quality of service!

awesome place for great hair results

Michelle does my hair and she is awesome. She does a great job on whatever you want done and you leave feeling like you were family and looking great. She offers great suggestions and never makes you feel like she is hurrying. I always feel relaxed and in good spirits when I leave. If your looking for a new look ask for Michelle......

Saved my life! Well..my hair anyways..

After I double bleached my hair and deciding I did not like it, I tried dying it back a darker color.The result? Cotton type GRAY hair. I freaked and called a bunch of salons in my area. This place actually answered the phone! I told Michelle B. my story and she told me to come in for a free consultation. I was there within 20 min. She along with another stylist looked over my hair and came up with some options for me. The result was absolutely gorgeous. I had to lose a bit of hair due to all the damage, but the cut was very cute and I prefer it now! I have always been a do -it-yourself girl, but from now on, I am going here for my hair needs. I would recommend it to anyone!

Finally I found it...

Trust Sarah Pohl with your hair. I've been growing mine out for the past couple years and after several failed attempts to give my longs locks some shape (one experience even I could have done a better job, blindfolded) I booked at HCX.

Sarah undestood that just because my hair is long does not mean that it doesn't need detailed attention. She was meticulous in a way that wasn't slow or annoying.

I also appreciated that she wasn't typically chatty; I didn't have to tell her my life story, or hear about any crazy ex-boyfriends, but she was funny and she made me feel completely comfortable. I love my hair cut today just as much as when I walked out of the salon. It's good to know I can finally trust someone locally.

Worst "Professional" Experience of my life

I like the location and the facility is great, but I was a little short on cash and had one of the less experienced gals do my color. BAD, BAD idea. I literally went in for highlights. That's it. Blonde, plain highlights. I'm not sure how you can screw that up if you've had any schooling, but I've been getting my hair colored for over 10 years and have never had it turn purple or green. If your stylist can't do simple color, I'd suggest letting them do some partials on some of the employees first. I paid over $100 and had to spend another $50 on special shampoos because I was too embarrassed to go back in there. I'm sure there are some directors in there that can do good color, but shy away from the newbies if they haven't proved themselves otherwise.

NIce place, excellent service

Went in for the first time last week for a new color. Yes, I'm a guy and I color my hair different colors on a regular basis. I've tried a few places in the last couple of years so I've seen all ends of the spectrum. I had Sarah do my color since she had a cancellation and was available when I went in.

I went with blue/black this time. It can be a tough to get right as it's sooooo dark. But Sarah knocked it out really quick. Did I mention I'm not really a patient person. ;-) The color is smooth and even and I don't have that "lumpy" look that you see on a lot of people who die they're hair really dark.

Not the cheapest place that I've ever been, but definitely the best service that I've gotten in a long time. 5 Stars and a big kudo to Sarah for a great color job.

Hair salon

When you're the new kid on the block, finding a good hair stylist is harder than finding a needle in a haystack! And my hair was looking a lot like a haystack after several bad experiences elsewhere. Checking reviews helped me find my way to HairColorXperts and Sarah worked miracles. I am now sporting good color, a good cut, and sassy hair! Sarah is terrific plus the salon uses terrific products and the latest salon tools/equipment.
It was a great experience and yes, I'll run not walk for the next visit to my new stylist.

Finally... The right stylist!

Well everything I read on here about Sarah Pohl is true. I went to see her yesterday for the first time (on the advice of a friend whose color is gorgeous and on the reviews here) and my cut looks awesome, the color is beautiful, and today I washed it and went. I didn't have to do a thing to it. During my appointment she spent a lot of time with me consulting. She was very pleasant but not overly talkative or intimate. I showed her pictures (Sienna Miller's short pixie btw) and she EXACTLY replicated it. She was QUICK (my last stylist was taking 3 1/2 hours to overprocess my hair). I have run the gamut of stylists having lived in the Apex area for ~15 years (truly have tried every "well-known" salon... Jay Andrews, Env, Liz Michaels, Salon Suzanne Marie, Mitchell's, etc.) and Sarah was worth the drive for me. I am truly AMAZED at how much I like my cut/color. I also found it to be reasonably priced ($140 color/cut) given how much she had to cut and shape and how much damage control she had to do with the color. I liked her personality, too... She's super sweet. Go!
