Wonderful!
Goldie's is a wonderful place to get food that you wouldn't normally eat every day. The restaurant is run by a small Jewish family, and is names after the mother. The soups are excellent, the portions are large, and the sandwiches are amazing! The staff remembers the customers and always starts a conversation. The family cares about you and remembers you each time. The prices can get high, but the food is definitely worth it.Watch out! They overcharge.
We had a buy 1 get 1 free coupon, which they said they added in but ended up charging full price. I think he did it on purpose as I saw him tear up the coupon (At least I got a refund through my credit card).Way overpriced.
Worst Sandwhich Ever
Picked up a turkey club and reuben sandwich to go on Sunday afternoon. For $25 I was hoping for a great sandwhich, what a waste and dissapointment. The bread was stale on both sandwhichs, there was two slices of turkey on the club, and the reuben didn't offer much more. The potato salad was all of about two tablespoons with zero flavor. Will never eat there again. Live in the neighboorhood and like to support local biz but can assure you I will not be back. They are ripping people off, I could have had a better sandwhich at Subway for $4 bucks. NASTY and OVERPRICED!!!Great Food, Great People!
I'm a regular at Goldie's and have been for a couple of years now. Of all the so-called deli shops in Nashville, they are clearly my favorite! The location is fantastic (a stone's throw from McCabe Park in the Sylvan Park neighborhood). Dine inside, outside, picnic in the park, take it home...it's great anyway you get it. The menu is outstanding. The food is spot on everytime. Certain items are priced slightly higher than average, and I'm glad. I don't trust a deli sandwich that costs under $5.00. Also, it's a great pleasure to walk into a family run business and feel like you're family. I highly recommend Goldie's to anyone who's after a taste of a New York deli right here in Nashville, TN.Horrible! Never go again!
We went to Goldie's recently on a Sunday morning at about 10:30 AM expecting a line out the door (as you would find at most any good brunch place that time of morning). Instead we were only one of two or three tables seated in the place. Apparently one waitress and one cook operation but even with the minimal business we had to wait 30 minutes for breakfast. I spotted the cook run to the corner market to get a jar of jelly walking back smoking a cigarette (classy!) Lox plate was crappy with two small cuts of meat, warm wilted lettuce, pathetic tomatoes, a pinch of capers and a store bought tasting bagel. Breakfast came on plates that were chipped and cracked on the rim. All in all bad, slow service, and worse food make for a definite thumbs down and pass from here on out.Worldwide > United States > Nashville, TN > Restaurants
