The flavors were off

We are from Ohio and had already looked up Indian Restaurants in the Seattle area before coming to town. This rest. had good ratings and was within 5 min of our hotel so we tried it.

We first got Chicken Pakora which was good and the portion was huge. We were really encouraged by this and thought that the food would be great. I ordered Chicken Vindaloo and my husband had Lamb Vindaloo. His lamb was fatty and the hot was just mild. My chicken was horrible. The server said it was breast meat, but it was dark, fatty and quite scary looking. In addition, I hated the curry. It did not taste like any vindaloo I have ever had. We are hearty eaters, but we had left overs from here that we didn't even want to take. We can not see how others rated this place good.

Average food, weird waiter

An Indian expat recommended this place to me so I had high expectations, but I felt it was just average. Prices seemed a little high given the previous statement (I'm willing to pay more if the food is good). The server was attentive but too much so. It seemed like the dude was on or something -- a little nervous looking and seemingly impatient. We took a little time to consider what we were going to order, but he apparently couldn't wait and started suggesting dishes. This may have been a kind gesture but I didn't appreciate it. If I wanted help I would have asked. We weren't even halfway through our meal and he brought us the bill. The place wasn't about to close for a while yet, and a couple parties were even seated after us , but it felt like he was trying to rush us out.

Excellent Food

BE prepared for really good food. Great cooks. Not a lot of atmosphere. Kind of a Hole in the wall. But very flavorful dishes. I like thier luch buffett service servicng all styles of dishes including vegetarian and chicken and lamb dishes.
