Best AUTHENTIC Chinese I have ever had
It's not in New York, it's not in San Francisco, D.C. or anywhere else I have looked for the best authentic Chinese food in the states. They only do it on the weekends and if you only speak English you are going to be in the minority. Best stuff around! Fresh, well done, No MSG as the buffet sign proclaims, and very good selection. Be forewarned, if you just want General Tsos, Mongolian beef and Sweet and Sour Pork go to August Moon (it is on the weekend buffet at Golden Coast though not the greatest like the other real stuff). But if you want salt and pepper squid, beef tripe, steamed buns, seaweed salad, and steamed fish, GO HERE!!!! Even if you like the Americanized stuff, you got to try the real stuff once in your life.Great weekend buffete
I went with my Chinese Mom a few weeks back........The food was surprisingly good for Nashville. Best stuff around! Fresh, well done, No MSG as the buffet sign proclaims, and very good selection. The congee was good. All the other items we had were excellent: Braised beef, steamed chicken, dumplings, vegetables, etc.Best Chinese buffet in Nashville.
Whenever I visit Nashville on a weekend, this is a must for the best, authentic, Chinese food. There are lots of specialty dishes here not easily found, like agar-agar desserts in various fruit flavors, bubble tea, a saucy seaweed dish that's to die for, and shrimp and fish dishes expertly cooked, and a savory, fried pork sparerib that melts in your mouth. The food is always fresh and abundant. No wonder you can find most of Nashville's Chinese community having brunch here on a Saturday or Sunday. Don't miss it.Missing Cat
About a year ago, I lost my cat Sparky. I had posted flyers asking for his return dead or alive. To my surprise, I found him last night at Golden Coast. I believe he was in the Sweet and Sour Chicken. But he could have been in the Orange Duck as well. It wouldn?t have a make a difference because all the dishes tasted like MSG. My boyfriend and I felt like dried, brittle sponges for days after consuming that amount of salt. There wasn?t enough water in the Cumberland River to quench our thirst. Please don?t waste your time, money, or stomach on this dump!Simply Fair
I once had the best Chinese food in my life delivered in Nashville, but forgot to keep the menu. I have been trying to find that place again for some time. This place was not it. The food here was fair, but not great. I actually liked their chicken, nice white meat that was juicy, but the sauce for it was not on point. The fried rice they served was not the type of fried rice I was used to. I would not dine here again for the simple fact that I know that something even better is out there.ICK!
Maybe the worst Chinese Food in town. Disgusting! I hated it, i don't know how this place stays in business :PBest Chinese this side of town
It took me a minute to find a Chinese Restaurant in my part of town that was not greasy and left me feeling sick. Golden Coast is reasonably priced and my family and I love it!MSG and Old Food WARNING!!!
I used to go to this restaurant on Sundays for their authentic Chinese Lunch. They truly had great food. They must have gotten rid of that Chef or they just cut back on the food quality (in Chinese rsetaurants the word quality is used loosely!) I went recentlly and my whole family got sick. They used tons of MSG and I believe the food was very old. That is why inferior chinese cooks use MSG - it enhances old food. It took me 2 weeks to get over the bloating feeling from the food. I workout very day - running and I had the hardest time running for about 3-4 days after eating here. My family has decided we will NEVER give this place a try again!!"Best" Chinese Food in Nashville
After few years living in Nashville, I've found that Chinese restaurants in Nashville are generally bad. None would pass muster in bigger cities with a sizable Asian population. I went here because someone told me this place had the "best" Chinese food in Nashville. My friend was probably correct, but this doesn't mean food is good.Worldwide > United States > Nashville, TN > Chinese Restaurants
