Absolutely horrible experience!

I could not agree more with rerelaf's review from 2007. Sadly nothing has changed since then. Parents please beware! Sooner or later you will have to deal with Rosemary and her admin. staff.

Good preschool

Nice facility, great location and caring teachers. We like the focus on nature (songs, projects...).It is a very peaceful environment for kids to grow and learn.

Very gentle people, happy kids

NOT WORTH IT: Would never choose this school again if I had the chance!

It is too late to take my child out of this school, and away from friends and kindergarten is now less than a year away, but if I could go back and choose a different school, I would. The biggest problem I have with the school is the director Rosemary, who is someone that should never work with children, much less parents. She is rude, demanding and cold, not exactly the ideal person to run a school. I don't think I have met any teacher that is so dismissive and blatantly rude as Rosemary, and I have given up on trying to have polite conversations with her.

The school had great potential; I was impressed with the organic lunches and eco-friendly principles. I wish I had taken more stock in the many negative reviews there are to read online, before committing myself and enrolling my child. Beware!

Good preschool

When I first heard about Glen Park Montessori I was quite excited (location, philosophy, size of the school...).

I was not really sure if it would be "the" school or even if the montessori program was a good fit for her but I thought , "if we don't try,we'll never know".
I decided I would go to the open house and the 2 visits, just to check it by myself.
I'm so happy that we gave it a try.
I love the location and facility. It's very beautiful and airy. The deck is nice too. It's a calm and peaceful environment for the kids.

She seems so happy to go there and meet her friends and teachers, who she absolutely loves. She's very proud to show me what she's learnt during school (like pouring a glass of water and drinking with a proper glass, first thing they learn there or singing/dancing).
I'm very happy the school teaches the kids how to be independent and encourages them to respect each other.
Last but not least, I love the ecological focus of the school (from plants and animals in the school to projects, songs about continents etc.).
I would love though if they would propose after 4 classes program like sports/gym/danse on a regular basis.

I would recommand this school to prospective parents without hesitation.
