12/22/2012 My son first phoned FTC to see if they would be willing to place a pair of shoes on hold and the young adult male responded, " We don't place shoes on hold", then my son asked do you think the shoes will still be there when I get there, the young man's reply was, "I'm not a mind reader." Secondly, my husband and son then drove to their store located in downtown Sacramento to purchase two pair of shoes. As my husband was waiting in line he asked a young male adult since I am purchasing 2 pair of shoes from you, may I please get some change to pay for the parking meter? The young man replied, "We don't give change, and it is not our policy." My husband felt since he is purchasing items from his store, that for good customer service you should provide change, especially if you have it, which obviously they did. I understand that they get a lot of panhandlers at the downtown location but my husband is not panhandler. My husband is just trying to make a purchase for Christmas and trying to avoid getting a parking ticket. Once I received a telephone call from my husband, who was very upset about how he was treated, I telephoned the FTC Company complaining to them that they did not have to speak or treat my 16-year-old son and husband in this type of manner. The employee who had no problem in giving me his name Edward, of course, acted just as rude to me on the phone as he did with my son and husband. What happened to Customer Service?
