Very disappointed. A couple of years ago, it was fine. We used outside storage for our camper; got the propane tanks stolen once...things happen, wasn't going to get bent out of shape over something small. Then, we got a storage unit mid-2011 and it's been nothing but trouble. Lock shackle damaged once, they weren't in a hurry to fix (sorry, can't get anyone there today). We had our camper out last fall, but came back and all the campers were broken in to. Now lock shackle was completely pulled through the door and stuff stolen, again, not in much of a hurry to fix (sorry, can't get anyone there today). I told them the neighbors shackle was busted too. At their request after I was insistent about the shackle repair, moved remaining stuff into another unit; but I should have just left then. Past 2 weeks, started looking around and realized the place has fallen apart, fencing has holes, barbed wire missing, key coded gate can be pushed open by anyone because it doesn't close all the way...a walk around shows that there's multiple units damaged. There's nobody on site to inspect the place on a regular basis, no cameras, no alarms. Another tenant searched me out while I was moving out and asked if I'd seen anything recently; turns out he had the space beside mine that was broken in to that they knew about for 2 weeks. Guy was seriously unhappy. I called them and gave them ample opportunity to make me happy, but they gave excuse after excuse why stuff wasn't fixed and I told them again about the space next to mine and they indicated they did contact him; well, that doesn't add up. That guy's stuff isn't my problem, but at some point you have to watch out for your neighbors. I suppose if they want to call local cops liars, that tells me all I need to know about them. Right from the contract "In an emergency, Foxes Den can enter my space at any time to make a repair or to secure or protect my property." This indicates they have a duty to do so, they were informed; yet nothing was done. Gave excuse after excuse about contacting people, saying phone numbers change, voicemails are full, etc, but they messed up my billing once and I got a certified letter within a couple days telling me they were going to sell my stuff. What's wrong with a phone call? It was their billing error because their system couldn't handle having 2 units under the same name; then they didn't even want to waive the fees, but I was insistent. I gave them yet another opportunity to make me happier about the whole scenario and they told me to have my lawyer contact theirs. Really? So I promised them I'd echo my experiences on every review site I could find. I suspect it would have been better for them to try and make me a happier customer, but I just don't think that's their focus. Keep in mind, they do everything over the phone; there's nobody on-site even though there's a building for such. I won't do business again with a storage area like that again, if they're not interested in knowing who stores there, I'm not interested in doing business with them. Do yourself a favor, find storage elsewhere. There are not a lot of choices for camper storage with 2 miles, but there's plenty of choices that seem a lot more secured for inside storage. We moved out camper about 7 miles west of the location, for less money, cameras, codes, alarms, etc. The owner was anxious to demonstrate what they do better than some of their competitors and documented their walkthrough procedures and pointed out how close they live to the site. We got their last spot; obviously they handle their business better and their occupancy rates reflect it. If contacted by the company, I will not remove my review. Everything here is factual and represents MY experience.
