Cold Food Small Portions--- High Price
Our Dinning experience was average at best. The Draft Beer at the bar was too expensive more like Baseball Park prices. The bread could have been warm. The salad had no lettuce it was Heirloom Salad. The Fish and Chip Combination was...Can I get a YUMM YUMM? :D
I've been going to The Fish Market for 8 yrs now and I really enjoy going there. They are a little pricey but the food is great. I've never actually sat at a table because we've always ended up at the oyster bar. I enjoy watching them...Huge Variety of Seafood
Man this place stinks! You have to be a devoted seafood lover to be able to stand the scent. Once you get past that however this establishment has fish on the menu that I've never heard of as well as the old standbys. Their seafood menu is the most extensive I've experienced in the bay area to date. So, if you love seafood and you want something exotic - Fish Market is the place to go. Just bring your gas mask.I'd rather go fishing
Fish market has a very extensive menu. It's a great place to go to if you have a lot of time to spend. Service is slow and for a family, not highly suggested. The food is very good once it comes to your table.Have your fish your way
Fish Market has a very large menu. You can get almost any kind of fish, prepared a few different ways (grilled, pan fried, etc...). The only thing I would say is that there are not unique menu items, but I guess that's not their objective.Great selection of Fish and great Sourdough Bread!
I've been to the Fish Market a number of times and I've never been dissapointed with the food. Their menu changes daily depending on what the catch is. I've had haddock, snapper, bass, etc all grilled and delicious. While you wait, the offer you a large hunk of sourdough bread and butter which I have to restrain myself from eating too much of.Fish Market Restaurant is expensive!
The Fish Market is expensive and their food is notttt exciting at all. It's too simple for my taste and I agree that simplicity can be a good thing at times, but this is just tooo simple. We're talking a small slab a fish, some grilled veggies, and cold sourdough bread. The fish is cooked well... but make it more interesting! Can I get a YUMM YUMM? :D
I've been going to The Fish Market for 8 yrs now and I really enjoy going there. They are a little pricey but the food is great. I've never actually sat at a table because we've always ended up at the oyster bar. I enjoy watching them cook it up! I love, love LOVE the cheesey crabby garlic bread YUMMM and the blossom hill roll and the garlic prawns and everything else I've had. I've never had a bad meal there. Check out this great fish spot! The Best Oysters
This restaurant has it's own oyster farms. I love my oysters raw and these oysters are the tastiest I have ever eaten, especially recommend the Myagi oysters. The staff is very courteous. My nine year old enjoys that food. So you can bring your kids. Make reservations for busy days, like weekends and holidays. Pricey, but well worth it.Decent fish place
So Fish Market has been great sometimes, but just ok this time. Rockefeller oysters were great, but my Mahi Mahi entree kinda sucked. Way to much sauce and the fish was really dry. I think it could have been better.Fabulous Fish
I've been coming to the Fish Market on Blossom Hill for years. It's fabulous and family friendly. Sure it's a little pricey but you're paying for high quality fresh fish. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly and there's hardly ever a long wait. Past reviewers said the mahi was dry - that's cuz you got it out of season and it was frozen, ask the staff if you have questions or need recommendations, thats what they're there for. This place has long been my favorite restaurant and the pictures are worth the trip alone.it's OK....
It's kind of a hit or miss place. We like fresh seafood and if you specify you REALLY don't want it overcooked, they'll usually do it right. Because we love oysters, it's a great place for us to go and spurge on them and still be able to bring our 3 year old. The last two times were awful---cold food, noisy echoing party, poor service, but when we complained, the management was very responsive. So it's really a toss-up--but when we want decent food and have to take our daughter with us---it's usually the place.Good place to get your see seafood fix
The quality, variety, and grill skills at the Fish Market are all top notch. I love to watch the fish grilling through the glass. For smoked fish lover's, the smoked fish platter is really good. The atmosphere is casual, so it's a great place to go with friends or co-workers. I love to order chowder (red and white), smoked fish, and bread from the Fish Market for impromptu dinner parties.Great food, Great people, & Great Customer Service!
April 2008Horrible customer service
I went here recently for my boyfriend's mom's birthday. It took them 25 minutes to deliver her complimentary dessert, which was the wrong order (she ordered cheesecake and got chocolate). Then it took another 20 minutes until we received the check. And when I was signing the credit card receipt, the waiter comes over and informs me that he gave us the wrong check, so we have to wait another 5 minutes before we get the right one. We were eventually late for a comedy show we had planned on going to after dinner, so we didn't go. I will never go to the Fish Market again!Worldwide > United States > San Jose, CA > Seafood and Fish
