Unnecessary things done and charges
My 22 year old cat was taken to the vet a total of 4 times, the last time to be put down.PittyPat
I had to get my cat spayed at a reasonable price. I dropped her off on Monday morning, got a phone call telling me she had a tapeworm, so of course I payed for that nasty thing to get gone. Went to pick up my cat the next morning, got the cat home to realize that it was the wrong cat! When I got the cat back in the cage (after it tried to kill me), I was so pissed off I told them they gave me the wrong cat. They seemed concerned, but more concerned to keep me away from the other patrons. They put me in a room, and asked me if I was sure this wrong cat wasn't mine... Yeah I was positive this cat had the wrong tail, and was grey, mine was more brown... They gave my cat to the wrong person. I had to wait in this room for half an hour to find out that they didn't have my cat! So when I asked how this happend, they said, Well when the tags came off the cages obviously, I don't work there, and when did these tags fall off, how did they know if I PAYED for the right cat? Did my cat hThey are decent
I have had no problem at this vet. I have been taking my animals here for years. I just had my cat neuterd there last year and they called me when they were done and let me know he was ok. I like that they keep them and watch them over night. A lot of vets are sending them home the same day now. I they did add on a few things such as tape worming and flea treatment, but they asked me first if I wanted that. You have to treat your cat when they have tapeworm so I said yes. I delined the flea treatment and they were ok with it.What happened to Dr. Tilleman?
I have been taking my cats to this place for at least 12 + years and have had numerous cats I took. Yesterday my 8 year old female cat was scooting her bottom and there was from it plus when she used her litter box there was in the stool so I loaded her up and took her in immediately to the vet and the vet could not look at her because she is siamese and a bit of a hand full so I took her back the next moring so they could put her under anesthesia and look at her. I took her at 9 am and at 230 that afternoon I called and they had just put her under. They had wrestled with her for hours before trying to handle her without the anesthesia and I had told them they could not work on her without it and even agreed to the cost of it then the doctor waited for ever to call me back. I have called 2 times and still waiting to hear from the vet. There is a new vet and he is not good with animals at all it seems he just wants money and the prices have went up alot. This vet is not user friendly and I will never go there again. I have numerous times referred people there but that will never happen again as well. I am just sorry that I took my lilttle girl there and she had to suffer at the hands of Dr Bennet. My cat had not eaten when I took her and she was starving and it was my understanding that they were gooing to put her under right away but then was told that the surgeon will not come in until the afternoon. So my cat set in her tiny carrier starving with no water and no place to toilet. She is not a people friendly cat and becomes extremly stressed in a new environment with people she dont know. As well they are going to leave her overnight with no one there to check on her all night after waiting until late afternoon to sedate her. This is ridiculous. Dr Tilleman never treated us that way and I will never return to valley veterinarian again under any circumstances.Disappointed
Our cat was having some issues that needed to be attended to immediately. We were informed that we would need to get x-rays, blood tests, etc. for the cat and it would cost over $250 just to see what might be the problem. Then we wanted to get an estimate on what surgery might be if she needed it. No one would give us a direct answer as to any costs that would be incurred. It is common practice to have prices for procedures of this nature, and they should be given up front. We kept getting the run around and the dr. kept sending in an assistant to deal with the pricing, but they still wouldn't give us a direct answer. So we walked out the door with our cat and our money and have taken her somewhere else. What happened to Dr. Tilleman? Won't go back to this place again, I don't know what happened to it, but even x-rays for a human don't cost $250. Give me a break.Disappointed also
I've been going there ever since Dr. Tilleman has been there and it's changed.I brought my pets and my friends have brought their pets there for surgery and it's just not that good. My female dog keeps going into heat still, and it's been a long time since surgery, and sometimes they have had their incisions get infected with their lamp shades on! They also don't require vaccines, so that means that your pets aren't protected either. You might as well go to American Pet Hospital because they don't require vaccines either, they're the same cost and you don't have to leave your pet there overnight to risk more contamination.Worldwide > United States > Modesto, CA > Veterinarians
