Ask them if there are any registered offenders working for them, and ask if they've done background checks on ALL of their employees for this. Judging from the fact that I know of a registered offender who drives an Extreme Air Conditioning truck, it looks like they do no background checks.

Corrected Problem
When the issue of offenders was addressed with the owner of this company, he had already fired the offender. His comment was, "I fired him as soon as I found out." And with the new HVAC laws that go in to effect by the end of this year, it will be impossible for any residential a/c business to hire an offender, as they won't pass the state mandated screening.
