If there was any way possible, I would give this place half of one star! This was the last hotel we were able to get at an affordable rate for the weekend we were up in San Francisco. Everywhere was sold out. It was rated 3 stars and I figured it would be safe. The location is on an extremely busy street and obviously very limited parking. The hotel offered valet (guests still had to pay $36), but when we arrived there was no valet to be found. We tried to check in at 2 pm and they still had no room ready and we had to come back at 3pm. At other hotels, I've stayed at, I've been able to check in as early as 12 pm. The room was fairly large, but so OLD and dilapidated. The bathroom was so small, OLD, and needed a complete renovation - actually the whole hotel does. The air conditioning was a unit that had to be stuck out of a window. The beds were comfortable, but the floor was absolutely disgusting. The floor was creaky and lifting up. I would not recommend this place to myFriendly, charming & good location!
My husband and I stayed here when we were married 6 years ago - they have remodeled the rooms and they are now quite lighter with a more open feel. Staff is very friendly, the location is great - two blocks from Union Square; complimentary wine in the evening and coffee, tea & goodies in the morning - who could ask for more!!good value & location
If you are looking for a deal and nice rooms, then Vintage Court is good. Can't beat the location.where's the window seat...
Our five-night stay was in all satisfactory but the descriptions I read didn't seem to mesh with a few points, such as the "bay window and window seat in every room." The room was extremely small, and certainly had no bay window or window seat (there was one small window behind a desk that opened into an alley-type setting). The location was good, I admit, and the staff (with the exception of one younger gentleman with an attitude) was helpful. The complimentary wine each evening (5-6 p.m.) was nice, and the coffee and juices in the morning were good (though hit-and-miss since they sere slow to replenish). The price was comparable or better than area hotels so we really can't complain too much I guess, but given the experience I would recommend spending a bit more and being able to move about a bit in the room.Worldwide > United States > San Francisco, CA > Hotels
