The place for oriental books.
Evergreen book houses a absolutely huge range of books. The store is absolutely gigantic with bookshelves lined up like a never ending sea. The books are 95% in Chinese, and a few in English. While the front part of the store is modern, most of the books are historical books that analyze history, such as the rise of Mao Tse Dong.

awesome collection
This is my mother's favorite store to shop in her visits to Monterey Park. I currently live in the Bay Area and have not found another chinese book store with the same extensive book collection as Evergreen. They have so many books that my mom even found the first edition of one of her favorite novels published in the 1960s. You can't beat that for selection and variety. It's a must see for Chinese book readers!

one of the great chinese book store
this bookstore is quite great since you can find almost everything type of chinese book in there, i usually go there once a month or so to look up books and comics. another thing is that they also sell cds and videos, although the variety is not as great but overall the bookstore is great and like to visit them alot

you can find anything!
This bookstore has really a wide collection of chinese books. It ranges from novels to history books or cooking recipes as well as comics. I typically go there on my trips to monterey park to check out the new releases. They also have imported chinese magazines. They have some English books but very limited. Also they have some DVDs but the selection isn't as great as other stores and the prices are higher.
