A Mexican Restaurant that charges for their SALSA WTF?
I am so upset...I have been dining here for over 6 years because their salsa is by far my favorite over any other Mexican Restaurant, well I went last night and I guess ever since the daughter "Nela" is taking over they are starting to charge for their salsa. So you get chips, but if you want salsa you have to pay for it...which is unbelievable to me. What is happening to this world when mexican restaurants begin charging for salsa. They can't be losing $$ b/c of their salsa my family spends at least $40 per visit, so why on earth must they do this. I am so upset I will NEVER go back...and I am spreading the word to everyone I know. There food is okay, but we mainly went because we LOVED the salsa not for the food...Next thing you know they'll start charging per square of toilet paper in their restrooms... This makes me so sad as I have got over 20 people to regularly dine there and now I have to let everyone know...if you dine there on a budget and are expecting to eat salsa with your chips be prepared to count the salsa into your dining budget. BOOOOO I am disappointed in you NELA..Stale chips, Old Salad, and Bland Blah Blech
I do not recommend this restaurant at all. The chips were stale, lettuce in salad was old and some of the pieces seemed as if they'd been frozen before. The cheese enchilada and chile relleno were bland and unremarkable. We went there for the very first time because we had a coupon. Be sure and let them know in advance that you do have a coupon because they will not accept it otherwise. Even though the coupon says nothing about this. I left with a very bad first impression and don't plan on ever going back.Salsa stands out
This is my first time reviewing a restaurant but I eat out many times a week due to travel. The salsa at Eva's is excellent. There are two different types of salsa; one a pico de gallo and another red chili sauce. I like to spice the pico with the red salsa or add a little salt to it, but it was tasty and fresh. The red chili salsa is so flavorful. It has some heat to it and spices up the entrees. The chicken is flavored with pepper and tastes even better with the red chili salsa.Best Place Ever! :)
I went to Eva's for the first time and fell in love with there Chicken enchilada's! i Dont like chicken enchilada's anywhere else but was OVERLY satisfied with theirs! the atmosphere was great and the workers were really friendly! They keep their place really neat unlike alot of places I've been to! I could eat their salsa anyday of the week and not get tired of it! i HIGHLY recommend this place. It's super cheap and very family friendly. Your not wasting your time if you go their. If you drive, i do recommend you park in the Post office prking lot or the parking lot a little ways down the street. This place is for sure worth the walk :)its always good.
Eva's always serves fresh chips and salsa the moment you sit down. For the best traditional Mexican food hands down its, Eva's.You don't get what you pay for
My wife and I ordered off the To Go menu which stated our orders come with green salad. Got half way home and checked order and no salad. We went back and were told to go orders don't come with salad. We paid expecting salads and menu said so. Cashier argued with us went to kitchen and didn't return. We won't be going back.MSG HORROR NIghtmare
The cheese taste like it was shipped here from China, it gave me the worst stomach ache of my life. The quality of food shows how greedy they really are. I will never go back!Great Place for Lunch
Best Mexican place for lunch! Love the enchiladas and chicken soup - and be sure to check out their specials. The cooks have been at the restaurant for years and cook family recipes. Can get busy on Fridays for a table but once seated, the service is so efficient you can be in and out of there quickly.Worldwide > United States > Roseville, CA > Restaurants
