A friend of mine warned me that she had a terrible experience with this guy but I still gave him the benefit of the doubt and took my Hawaiian heirloom bracelet there to be fixed. I asked for an estimate and to be called before the work is done. I did not hear from anyone for a couple of days so I called and found out that the bracelet had been fixed without my agreement. When I expressed being displeased with this, I received a very snide response, "I can cut it off if you want." So, after getting over this I went down to pick the bracelet up only to find that the enamel was ruined. I was told that it came in like that but when I insisted that it didn't because I just had it re-enameled, I was then told that I need to take it to where I got it re-enameled because all they did at this place was put it in cleaner. I then asked "So what is it? Did the bracelet come in like this or did the cleaner do this?" The hairy-lipped lady didn't say a word and I walked out. I immediately took my bracelet to another shop (not the shop that re-enameled it) and will see what they tell me when I pick it up so stay tuned......stupid me, I really should have listened to my friend.Jewels & Diamonds by George
I went into this store to get a pin put into a watch band, simple job, takes but 5 seconds. Male owner said that it would cost $15 to $20, I agreed on $15, like I said a simple task and any jeweler would have the part. I got a call that my watch was ready and went to pick it up today. The female that assisted me said that the watch needed a battery and the charge was now $20. You would think that a reputable and a good business would call any customer for any other work done and extra charges. Well what was my option, I told her that I only wanted the pin replaced, she then replied in the most unprofessional manner, "well we don't call if it is under $10", she was just plain RUDE and UNCARING and she let it be known to me that she didn't want my business. She refused to give her name and replied, " I'm the owner I don't have to give my name". Unbelievable rudeness and poor business practice, these are the kind of incidents you wish you had on tape. HAD SHE SPOKE TO ME IN A HUMANE WAY FROM THE START I WOULD HAVE GLADLY NOT HAVE MADE AN ISSUE ABOUT OPENING THE WATCH AND PUTTING IN A BATTERY THAT I DID NOT REQUEST. MONEY WAS NOT AN ISSUE WITH ME BUT OBVIOUSLY TO HER, THERE WAS NO WAY I WAS LEAVING THE WATCH WITH THEM AGAIN TO HAVE THE BATTERY REMOVED AS SHE SO RUDELY SUGGESTED AS MY ALTERNATIVE.Worldwide > United States > Honolulu, HI > Jewelry
