When I found out our co-op was switching property managers I couldn’t be happier. It wasn’t long after their arrival that I and other residents realized we went from the frying pan into the fire. Esquire Management Corporation only cares about their pay check. They do not follow up on the maintenance staff, leaving them to work at their own pace that is when they are not on a breaking or just ignoring the work orders. This was not the issue while under the watchful eye of the prior management company. They don’t respond to residents’ concerns or complaints unless backed into a corner and then the response is usually incorrect or in the shades of gray, unclear or non-committal. Essentially, Esquire Management Corporation does pretty much what the board of directors tells them to, whether or not it is in the best interest of the residents. The question is WHY? Before buying into a co-op or condo check to see who is managing the property. If it’s Esquire keep looking!
