Couple of months ago we stopped by this establishment to see if we could have a get together after our wedding rehearsal dinner. We asked the bartender if they could handle us bringing 20-30 people on a Friday night and he told us \"easily.\" We told all our friends and family from out of town to meet us there and it seemed like a great idea. What we experienced was about as unprofessional as I have ever seen. Look, I get the bar scene, waiters need to do their job and when people are in the way you need them to move. Our guests were sober, polite and ready to move out of the way when needed. However these guys handled our guests like thugs. Waiters were screaming, pushing and even swearing (yes) swearing at our guests. I personally witnessed my father-in-law and fiancé pushed in the back by their staff. I asked the waiter to please stop yelling and pushing people he yelled back \"then get the f out of the way\". Many people were offended and left. When I talked to the manager about how rude one particular waiter was he said he would talk to him. The manager just smiled and gave him a pat on the back, as if to cool down. The waiter seemed like he could care less. It was apparent Elephant and Castle didn\'t really care about how much money we were spending. They just wanted us to leave. What was supposed to be an ending to a great night turned into a frustrating and embarrassing affair.

Pretty good
The inside of this place is very nice. The food was also good. The prices weren't bad either. The environment was the best part. Very sweet and it wasn't too busy. The seating was a little awkward though.

Nice British environment and food...:-)
My sis took me to this place for a treat...we were seated promptly, even thoughy they seemed quite busy and it was quite full...i loved how all d servers or atleast the ones who served us had this distinct british accent...was awesome...i ordered my all time fav. shepherds pie and it was completely yummmy....a very good portion for a very very reasonable price...nice cozy lilttle place to be at..def check it out...:-)...

Great pub food!
We picked up a chicago tour book in the Watertower shopping center, and in it was a coupon for a free app at Elephant and Castle, so we tried it out. Being big pub food fans, we were impressed by the selection of tap beers, both domestic and import.

It's an ok place
There are far better places in the city than this joint. Take your friend somewhere else. You will have much better time.
