Four months and still no windows. This terrible customer service experience started back in April. We met with the sales consultant and signed a contract to replace some windows. We gave him our deposit and off he went. We were told to expect a call to schedule the critical measurements in a few days. Two weeks went by with not a peep. We left a message and sent an email only to get a call a few days later to set a time to meet with a sales consultant. When they realized their error they scrambled to set up the next available time to take the measurements, the upcoming Saturday. We made sure we were home on Saturday afternoon and waited for someone to arrive. No one showed up and no one called. Finally we received a call to apologize for the missed appointment... the following Thursday. At this point we were one month in. Kevin, the owner, called and offered a 10% discount for the errors but we asked for him to tell us what the penalty would be to cancel at this point. He said he needed to discuss it with his business partner and would call back the next day. Two weeks went by with no word so we contacted American Express and asked to reverse the charge for the deposit. Wow, we got an angry phone call as soon as the charge back hit. Kevin spouted on about the contract and we can't cancel. I told him to have AmEx reverse the charge and call me back to move forward. A week later the charges were reversed and a week after that I get a Notice to Lean letter. I called Kevin to see what his plans were and he said all he wanted to do was complete the contract. I agreed that that would be a good idea and all I wanted was to get a contract amendment for the 10% discount he offered and for him to provide proof or workers comp insurance for his sub-contractors since he didn't have it for Eco Select (a bit strange since I have spoken with several of his employees). He needed to discuss this with his business partner and get back to me. Another week and a half later brings us to today. No 10% discount - that is off the table - and his sub-contractor will bring me proof of insurance when he is available to come out at the end of the following week. Kevin assures me that I will love the windows once they are installed, I assure you I will have pangs of regret every time I look at them - if they ever get installed. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Eco Select. There are way too many good window install companies to even waste the time to bother with a quote from Eco Select.
