In 2006, my partner and fiance Hector, and I went to East End Cardiology. Hectors nephrologist, said that the problems Hector was having were not kidney related. When I went with Hector to East End Cardiology, we explained this to Dr. Dougherty. We asked him to speak with his kidney doctor. He would not contact his kidney doctor. His kidney doctor wanted Hector to have a cardiology test, which due to the contrast agent could have stopped Hector's kidneys from functioning. But as his nephrologist said, we can do something if the kidneys fail, but not the heart. Additionally, Hector and I had gone to East End Cardiology, Hector was having a very difficult time. Dr. Dougherty said Hector should return in two weeks for a test. When I called the staff who handle calls insisted that if the Doctor said to return in two weeks, then the Doctor was right and would not let me speak to anyone. I was telling them I wasn't sure if Hector would make it until the test. But the employee I spoke to was adamant. Then Hector went to Peconic Bay Medical Center, for an out patient procedure. The doctor who was responsible for that said the "There was nothing to worry about" . Hector died tragically and unexpectedly that day. November 11th 2006. Afterwards, I spoke to Dr. Dougherty. I let him know Hector died of a heart attack. I was angry that he had refused to do the test which he needed. His response was to quote the principle of " Do no harm" . "Do no harm" ! Hector was now dead!!! I gave one star only because I had to put at least one star to enter, but honestly I would give no stars if I could.
