beautiful, unique designer jewelry in a friendly and elegant setting.
We purchased our wedding rings from Nathan Levy directly when he was still alive. Now, his work and repairs have been taken on by DVVS. After ten years, we needed some adjustments in the rings and the DVVS helped us with grace and helpfulness. I salivated over their other lines too, when I visited the shop in Chelsey. Great experience over all! I am going back to visit them in March when I am in NY for business. Dietta Hitchcockhighly recommended
While I agree that Kate should probably be avoided, the two owners are absolutely wonderful. I am extremely happy with my piece. I highly recommend that everyone go to DVVS and insist on dealing with Evans or James directly. Evans is absolutely wonderful. I'm very happy to call DVVS my jeweler of choice!Uniquely helpful, creative, ambitious, knowledgeable and reasonable.
My wife 'hinted' that I go to DVVS for her engagement ring. I had already been to my boss' jeweler but the people at DVVS educated me & made me feel as comfortable as I could feel before spending a lot of money on a ring. Ultimately the diamond they found me was fantastic & a great deal (they urged me to compare prices from a few places). The ring became an instant heirloom.Best service, most unique jewelry
I'm working on the second 'baby' present at Dvvs now. They made our wedding rings in '99. We still think our Morse Code rings are totally cool. I can always find a trinket my wife will love. Her orders literally were: "Anything in a little green box." That meant to go to Dvvs. With 2 kids I don't have a lot to spend, but the earrings and necklaces I bought over the years still look great on my wife.Anything but "warm and friendly"...
I found the people here to be pushy and rude and can't emphasize the worst of this experience. Never again!Interesting find
small shop I walked by and decidedt to pop in. They carry wedding bands and diamonds- but also some interesting rings and necklaces from different jewlery designers. I bought something here for myself and always get compliments. The store is small but they do offer unique items.HORRIBLE experience
I would not write a scathing review unless I really thought it was warranted. My now-husband (then fiance) & I went to DVVS to search for wedding bands a couple of months before our wedding. I found a ring immediately and wanted to order it. My husband was not as decisive. When I tried to give my credit card to the woman helping us - Kate - she insisted I go home and think about it. (I had already been to 6, yes 6, stores, so I didn't need to think about it).Best Jewelry Store in NYC
DVVS is great. I have purchased an engagement ring, a diamond tennis bracelet, two pairs of earrings and his-and-hers wedding bands. The team at DVVS are so patient...they explain everything and never push you towards the most expensive pieces. They listen to your needs (both in terms of budget and overall direction) and respond with pieces that match. And if they don?t have something, they will source it for you and have it within days. And they are what a real neighborhood store should be: my wife often pops in to have her diamonds cleaned and shined, always at no charge. These guys understand that the retail experience--especially for expensive items--is all about the relationship. I will never buy jewelry anywhere else.Excellent service & selection
I have been a customer of DVVS for 10 years now! Since I went to them with an idea for an engagement ring 10 years ago & they designed my vision in platinum to perfection. My husband and I returned there for our wedding bands and it is THE place of choice for any of my gifts since then!Simply the Best
Simply the best.... They can work with any budget and range in style from classic diamond engagement rings to more artistic creations (either designed by you, them, or artists that they showcase). They are personable and not pushy. They are trustworthy (I never thought twice about leaving my wedding band with them). Go in with an idea and have a conversation with them - all of my jewelry (funky to classic) was made by them, but you won't see it in their display cases. I highly recommend that you check them out.
